frank-123 Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 think it must be a misprint reckon they have missed the letter A from the bird in 21st position
JADE Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 you can pool b without pooling a. dont see anything wrong with 25th
Guest bigda Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 you can pool b without pooling a. dont see anything wrong with 25thjust asking, what is the rule on it then, your saying you can bet the £5 pool only in the section if you like
Guest bigda Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 think it must be a misprint reckon they have missed the letter A from the bird in 21st position frank if they missed out the A pool, why are there a difference with 45 th Nat positions money as against the 21st
Rebus Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 just asking, what is the rule on it then, your saying you can bet the £5 pool only in the section if you likeYes.
Guest bigda Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Yes.so all the guys are wrong then there are no rules as to what way you pool no need to bother about way 10ps and 20 ps then just straight what ever you want pools
Rebus Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Reims total birdage 1186 down 117 from last year.
Jumbo Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 i think it is that the a pools have all been won so only winning money for what is showing on the result
budgie Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Reims total birdage 1186 down 117 from last year.118 Prizes between 7 sections is it really worth all the bother and effort.
Guest bigda Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 well done to stb, in the national, seems you have stole some money from the real national boys rab, i think we will send delboy over to yous for dual membership, to even up the score can you put a good word in for him rab. i"ll no talk about you jumping ship
lanarkshire lad Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Reims total birdage 1186 down 117 from last year. When o When are members going to learn there are TOO many races and not enough pigeons. The race programme needs looking at.JMO
JohnQuinn Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 I wonder how the guys in the South and East sections, feel about the race program, and i wonder if they suffer the same amount of losses as the west sec boys.Only curiosity no want to start an argument with anyone.

IT WOULD BE GOOD TO KNOW JOHN BUT I KNOW WHAT I'LL BE VOTING FOR AT OUR FED RACE PROGRAMME MEETING LATER IN THE YEAR MATE
JohnQuinn Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 If i'm reading your mind right, think i'll be voting with you Alan

Rephrase what i said earlier TOO many channel races and not enough pigeons. The inland nationals look to be here to stay as they are well supported. What do you think?
JohnQuinn Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 I certainly don't think the SNFC are responsible for low birdage races, you ask anyone and i bet they've lost their birds before the nationals, aye there are obviously losses in national racing but i would think that club racing would account for the biggest majority of losses. All you read on here for example is about good doos going down in training or a 200mls race that meant nothing to them. JMO

JMO This statement is absolutely correct. The source of the problem lies with clubs and federations whose race programs are completely inflexible.I know that there were many good proven pigeons lost in the first 3 races when we were racing before the ambient temperature had reached 10 degrees centigrage. We should not even have been training in those conditions.
Rebus Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 118 Prizes between 7 sections is it really worth all the bother and effort. Yes every bit of it,the only race worth the bother of keeping pigeons the rest are second division events.
JohnQuinn Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 118 Prizes between 7 sections is it really worth all the bother and effort. Just came across this. If you take FIRST prize, you'll know its worth it. The prestige is gained through beating every pigeon entered against yours, regardless of the numbers involved, i can hear some of you shouting fae here, but this is JMO

Bluedoo Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 118 Prizes between 7 sections is it really worth all the bother and effort. I would say yes, because its your best against everyone else's best. Quality not quantity. I only wish I had something in it.

Am just one in the south but heres exactly how I feel aboot the SNFC. The two inland nats are unessesary one would surfice and id probs gan fer Bovingdon or its like cause of what am gan tae say next. The racin wae EAST[/i is hated doon here by just about all ive spoken tae. Befor you say its just the south no winnin and like tae say that good doos win frae anywhere but the further east you go the less pigeons you get frae the south. Losses are just the same as the losses I see you lanarkshire boys right aboot. I got 7 frae 12 at eastbourne. Stats tell us that the south struggles frae eastbourne. The race points need tae come more central JMO. We discussed last nite abbot the racin frae La ferte Bernard and the birdage sent so I think we need tae look at this for some kind of guidance. I know thiswont suit all but John did say in would be interestin. Maybe the next AGM could be held in Ecclefechan? Tounge firmly in cheek. Thanks fur reedin this long drag of a postCheers Steven
