midnight_son Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 Could be Andy - depends if they held a direct line up the west of the penines. Suspect our lot will have gone east and will be first drop in Eye Valley rather than Solway but hopefully not. We'll soon find out !

ALF Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 Better hope the birds dont hit rain like we have here in Hamilton just now because there is only 1 place they will go and that is down it's that heavy and has been for 10 mins now :(
JADE Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 if its true about liverpool times i would have expected birds in unc from lillers by now. any news?
midnight_son Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 I wonder if those reported birds in Liverpool were genuine times or some red herrings. Have heard that Pennines fed who went at 6.15 from Falaise are doing 43mph and are slightly scattered but not too bad. The North West Grand national who went at 6.30 from Falaise are doing 40mph but getting a good race. That ties up with the conditions a bit better than those 53mph times we heard earlier - not sure they're right ? Either side of the 40mph mark sounds more like it for us.

That was my estimation this morning Jamie. 40-43mph
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 That was my estimation this morning Jamie. 40-43mph I'll estimate 38-40 mph for the boys in the east and 35-36mph for the boys in the west.
Chris Little Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 The first birds will be timed in the Eyemouth end
