WulDon Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Dundee fanciers have been doing well in recent years in YB National, but if the wind has to be easterly then they wont have a chance this year :-/ Dundee & Angus members always seem to do well at the SNFC YB National in any wind under any conditions... just check the results in recent years!!!

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Harry it was a great day for the west that day as they took the first 4 in the race-: 1st P Scott and Nephew (Wilson) followed by W O'Neill, Willie & Magaret Wilson and Janette Lang You would think after 22 years the boys in the west would be due a turn :-/ then again it has been 28 years since the Kings cup has been won through here. :B :B

Chris Little Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 East wind for the weekend can mean only one thing. The SNFC young bird national will be won in Eastriggs at a loft opposite ours......... Mr Bill Pirie We are not sending
Guest IB Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Starting to think that there will be no race this weekend - weather breaks Friday and weekend is a washout. Monday? If so, not keen on Thursday basketing for a Monday race.

JADE Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 why do the snfc have to mark on thursday for a race from leicester. for gods sake they went to tours marking 48 hours before the race. And in view of the forecast shouldnt they be considering delaying the marking
jimmy white Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 it would be great to see all sections won by forum members ;D,,,,,

jimmy white Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 I hope you're wrong about Section D as well.........lets hope it's a Forum member. ;D ;D ;D if its any consolation colin,,[free ad for you ;D] i was 4th section yb snfc with a bird bred from m and d evans, myrtle lofts,, via,, my mate charlie wooff , allthough i was advised not to send it furter than 400 miles , scored a top position with it from snfc sartilly 505 miles as a two year old [this bird "the myrtle cock" won 7 races so,,best of luck to you p,s think walker and wilson will win the open,,in a different race to st abbs [no offence to walker and wilson] than racing to up here
WulDon Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 That is very true, you cant fail right up the coast ;D Only good honest pigeons make the result from the very finest lofts in Scotland regardless of loft position... obviously the wind will determine the winner, just because we are on the coast doesnt make it any easier flying 279 miles... just better doos!!!
jimmy white Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 mon wee gaz and wee keirnan [if sending] two eleven year olds ,,,,both pb members ;D
