i thought buzzard , but upon seeing the colouring of the feathers , now un-sure . mind i am as blind as a bat

they had a bit colouring under the wings,

yes we have a few over here with white on them under the wing but that one with the white tail is a bit different but deff a buzzard m8

Look like buzzards wont bother the doos too slow, they do how ever kill kestrels and take over their range there has been a 65 % drop in scottish kestrel numbers, by and large due to them, referred to as intraguild predation by the raptor enthusiasts who dont like to admit their policies have been disastrous.

White morph buzzards.....have a few down here

Yes Archie def buzzards .but don't think for a minute they don't take pigeons because they do .they used to sneak up on a mates loft years ago and surprise them ,just like the sparra hawk .@ I watched one chase an injured wood pigeon ,don't know if it caught it as they disappeared behind trees .

Your right Stuart seen them take young wood pigeons .to slow to take your doos tho

As Stuart says they will take pigeons if given half a chance. just a bit slow in the air

Buzzards. Too slow most times, but will steal another BOP kill and will take ill, unfit ones.

My mate works on a horticultural project and we have seen them many times having a go at the wood pigeons foraging in the fields and sometimes being successful.

I have six flying above my loft everyday and have never bothered the pigeons

When they are bringing in the silage, there can be 16 above my loft and they never bother the pigeons, but it only takes one opportunity and they will take it. BOP have to survive and if pigeon is available, they will eat it.

i watched two buzzards chase a perigrine out of the area at strathdon, the gamekeeper said they were infested and it was a common sight also the pheasants are decimated with the gosh hawk
