My lofts have onduline roofs and that is the only ventilation and the pigeons look great the loft is dry, no smells and they fly well as well, due to moving to an allotment I have just had a new loft built for youngsters 12 x 5 and it took 4 sheets at £9-28 to do the roof it don't need felting and will last you couldn't get your roof felted for that let alone buy the wood as well. If you can a Tournier there is a fancier near us that when he crossed these all the offspring are winning and well up in fed too. Paul

Lots of people don't want them back so now if there is a contact number I will ring it other than that it is fed until well enough and then tossed up, I wingstamp mine and so should they if they don't then 9 times out of 10 they don't want it back so if they can't be bothered neither can I. Paul

Tony, I think the first thing you have to look at is are the pigeons good enough and then move on to the other issues. Paul

If you compete in club, fed,section, open and national then you are competing in 5 competitions so if you win them all you do in fact win 5 x 1sts, I understand what you are saying but if you look at it logically that is fact, but this should be stated in any adverts but as we know most of them don,t because it doesn,t look as good. Got this bird back tonight, landed on the roof came down and walked into the stock loft, got her as a l/bred in 2003 and she's never been out before, smart bird or what ? Glad she's back anyway. Paul

George, I will always give credit to the fancier who supplies me with pigeons but as you know most of the birds nowadays are crossed anyway, as already stated on here the belgians & Dutch cross winning genes not pedigrees. I do believe that you should give credit to fanciers who have helped you along the way. Paul

The Belgians and the dutch may buy a whole loft of pigeons just to get 1 particular bird and the rest are sold as theirs even though they may have only been in their loft for a very short time, so there lies the answer of when they become yours. Paul
