  1. Surely if it has what they call a good throat it only means its healthy just like a bright clear eye, think thats all it is a theory, its whatever suits. Paul
  2. In my opinion its not whether multi vits are any good but that one is no better than another, I use antec multivits which are £3-95 for a sachet which makes gallons think its just as good as all the dearer ones and birds look good, exercise well and win. Paul

  5. Has anyone had birds off Mick Hibbert of Chesterfield and if so did you have any success with them? Paul
  6. Yes John' I think they are top class problem with some folk to tight to spend £100 on a mask, it works out cheap in the long run I have seen loads of people with them cheap paper masks, in my opinion they are about as much good as a chocolate firegaurd. Paul
  7. I have had one of the bradwest masks for the last 5 years, bought the mk4 last year but not used it yet as my old one is still working okay, have my blood tested every year and it has gone down so that for the last 2 years it was 2 & 1 so I am well pleased with them if you work it out its about £1 week and if your health aint worth that then its hard lines. Paul

  11. birds are very adaptable and a few years ago I could not get any training so I asked the guy who took me to work could I take them with me, I race South and my works was about 8 miles North so I took them to work every day and they flew their heads off, so my advice is do what suits you and the time you have. Paul
  12. I use Gary Spavins herbs and yes a lot better than all the rubbish which some put down there throats. Paul
  13. Just hope they do you some good Pete, but if you don't work them they won't win, as regards my comments on Asha I do not like to knock other fanciers but there are a couple of point s I wish to raise 1. how can he comment on birds he does not know and 2. don't knock people who are trying to help- new starters again when you don't know whats on offer, as Pete will has commented on these are not rubbish but bred out of fed toppers and breeders of fed toppers not rubbish as I stated they were bred off the best to enable me to break birds in to my new location, they would have been future stock birds for myself but due to being overstocked due to stopping racing at my old location due to neighbour problems and so stopping all my race team I have too many birds and if they can help a new fancier so be it, in responce to Asha if they were not good enough they woulkd have been in the bin believe me I have killed £1000's of pounds worth of birds, I don't mind critiscm btu if you are not willing to help then keep your mouth shut as if we all condemned people then there would be no new fanciers coming into the sport. Best wishes to all for 2009. Paul
  14. Asha once again you give negative comments These birds were bred of all my best birds to make sure I had something top help break the yearling cocks when I moved up to the allotments and with havin g too many birds with stopping all my fed winners I now have too many birds, Yes I could have bninned themm but if they help this man out who are you to condemn themwith ass holes like you is it any wonder why fanciers wont help people, I notice all the negative comments but I don't see you offering any help to these people in my opinion put up or shut up you ass hole. Paul

  22. Gary Spavin website Spavins Herbs. Paul
  23. The ugly ones look nicer when they win, all the nice ones are probably better in shows, a fancier in our club had a youngster with a deep and bent keel, he hated it but it started to win at the end of the season it was his favourite bird. Paul
  24. Will only treat if they have anything wrong with them. Paul
  25. Wiley what year do the pedigree's go back to as I mean as Just Ask Me says the origins of the strains, not had time to watch them yet but I remember Dave Allen saying that they were a distance strain and he commented on the fact that it was strange that the two sprint strains originated from a distance strain. Paul
