Due to moving house and joining Kirkfieldbank club in the South Lanarkshire Fed. I am looking forward to the first young bird race of the season from Kelso, it has been a long and difficult road to get here but after 3 years of not really having the opportunity to race my birds I finally have a great wee set up. To all my new club and fed mates all the best for the young bird season and a special thanks to all my friends in the Glasgow fed as it was a pleasure competing with them Good luck to all Andy

Looking at the results for the Glasgow Fed where we have an East & West section the West section times in more than their fair share despite the normal prevailing West wind when you would expect the East of the Federation to dominate so the question must be asked does the larger birdcage for the West section play a part do they have better pigeons ?

Honestly think you should seriously consider building your own as the cost of a new loft from some of the pigeon suppliers is significant and the quality of build is somewhat light weight for our weather

Had a look at the lofts on display at Blackpool with Eco, Parkhall & Tranter on site. The Tranter loft is by far the best quality but as you would expect is the most expensive. If you have the skill to build one yourself then that's what I would do but admittedly not everyone can hammer a nail in straight

I don't have any away to this race so will feed update onto site at clock checking
