Well done to you both on a great start to the season

Up at 0615 and let the cocks out for 45 minutes and then feed them in, feed the separated hens at the same time then it's let light into the youngsters at 0730 then off to work, get in between 1700-1730 most days and then it's feed the youngsters and let the hens out for 45 minutes then it's out with the cocks and then it's something to eat. It's a hard life keeping doos lol

Saturday and Sunday also looking good for the South Lanarkshire Fed training

Tommy a wee update I have painted the two lofts a lovely colour of brown so now very neutral lol, got two more broken birds back via my Honda CRV as they had went into the pigeon loft across from my old place and yet they are out and about today quite the thing in their new surroundings lol

They are indeed in fact they are feeding 20 day jold plus youngsters lol

Not a feather so far this morning despite the weather being reasonable so the wait continues but better to lose them now rather than the disappointment of not returning on race day

You would think so joe so will wait and see tomorrow as there is nothing for them at the old place now but love of home is a funny old thing

Still missing 5 broken birds that range from 3 to 6 years old they have been broken since October last year and I moved the loft with me and took a drive up to Gordon Geddes in Muirhead who lives opposite my old place and 2 of the birds having a fly around so fingers crossed they decide to head down to their new patch

just started training 9 broken pigeons that I moved from Glasgow to my new loft location in South Lanarhshire and decided to give the broken old birds along with 26 yearlings a trainer at 18 miles, birds started arriving after 40 minutes after being liberated at 1400 and at 1800 1 yearling to come and six broken birds missing oh the joys of moving house lol

Just a wee note to say that I had the good fortune to collect some youngsters from Andy Burgess today and very impressed with them and they are all related to his best birds what more can one ask for Once again many thanks Andy

The donors for my successful bids all contacted promptly

Just got the birds on eggs so once I wean the youngsters I will split the sexes and then loft excersise and first race is late April

How dark must a section be to undertake darkness for your young birds Is there any minimum amount of light that you need to afford the youngsters Many thanks

Interesting when you think that we have thugs out there that mug innocent members of the public and what do they get, community service so it seems that the Falcon is more important in society than our older population ?
