well i'm on holiday in florida ive been told i only got 4 from my big team of 9 back ,also took 3rd in club just hope ive some back by the time i get home or my season is over till youngbirds.I think i am going to take 100 youngsters next year and build my team fron scratch again

when where they bred if his are early bred and yours are later that would make his moult faster.My first round (christmas bred are through the moult) my second round are coming to the end of the moult and a few later ones are half way through they all fly at least an hour a day when first let out and are striking off all day.i feed gem royale as much as the want once a day for 20 min's cider vinigar in the water most days.i dont treat for anything till next week when i will pmv jab them .hope this helps

well my advice would be .Never leave the trap open while cocks are out only when u want them in and second sort the feed out its either to much or to little .if your sure its right try givinghalf there morning feed before they go out and see if that helps.Failing that i would chance the hawks and train tues weds and thurs to 30 mile.hope it helps mate.

i paired up my cocks for the channel last year i won the channel averages in the club. the last race i just scraped in though with a hen as my cocks where just to worn out.

1st and 4th in club lost two hens one a late bred and one that was being set up for this weeks national velocities in the 2100's so was a quick race

i love and hate race day. Sitting there waiting with frayed nerves pacing the garden thinking they should be in.Have i set them up right did i feed enough did i feed to much Getting your first bird and you know its a good un then worrying why no others have come in then smiling when you get a full lock up then frowning when you realise your behind at the club but smile when you get home and think at least the birds are home and theres still next week.... Best thing of all is your first win of the season i got mine this week and still smiling now. On a side not i try to ignore politics and bad sportsmanship i can only do what i feel is right if we worried what everyone else was thinking or doing we would never be happy.

15/15 from swainswick mid table at club but had 10 drop together.2 hens had first race this week and where second and third bird in the shed so hopefully the tables are turning now. i had 13 of the 15 within ten mins of the first one and last two within the hour so all in all i am pleased.Just need to up the pace a bit now lol

well after taking a look at the birds tonight ive sent my full team of cocks..lol all 9 of them and i put 5 hens in to shake em up a bit as if all go's well they will be going the first national

swainswick for me 120 mile seing all 9 cocks and 4 spare hens.Even if i get a good un wich i doubt i will have trouble trapping as theres a kids party on outside and a bouncy castle will backing on to my fence .Lol typical theve been looking good this week.

garlic once a week usually tuesday's and crushed . Cider vinigar most days cept friday and saturday for old birds.Every day for young birds unless i give them garlic the od the day .when youngsters are racing they get same as old birds crushed garlic once a week and cider vinigar everyday cept friday and saturday.Cant say whether it helps or not but Saying that i have been behind in the first three race's but ive had no training so hopefully that will change this week.Last year i did ok in oldbirds(took channel average's) and a few inland place's my youngbirds where excellent and where up there every race i sent.

early bred youngsters will race the programme no trouble at all. so many systems and so much advice i would take this year to get to know your birds and start in earnest next year .This years birds are next years breeders so unless you plan on buying birds every year use these birds to build your team.If you plan on racing them as old birds they need race's and training this year how much and how many is upto the individual.
