Like a blown up paper bag for inland. When they go over 250 mile i start carb loading wich in turn makes them heavier. There still like a blown up paper bag but with a little bit in the bottom if you know what i mean.

providing the birds are healthy i would put it down to feed.Whether there on widowhood or not they shouldnt be that far behind.Do you feed the same time each day and how much do you feed. You say your feeding light are you sure your not feeding to light?

best sprinter in my shed is a Staf van reet crossed with a jansen. His half brother was the only bird on the night from Niort. And talking about christie and the like how could they compete at the other distances when they havnt trained for it.I Thank strapper has hit the nail on the head in a couple of post above this one.

taking people a while to catch on a Pity he wont be selling any more but saying that his stock all cam of wim moem i think. Also seen the clemen's birds win consistntly across the water suggesting that maybe the system is more at play than the bird.Admittedly you need good birds but good birds will win from 60 -500 mile if the system is in place.

i know i lost half my team last year all yearlings on the first race, this year i dropped two the first race both yearlings.Ive 4 yearlings left that have done the first two races hopefully they will come good now. I tend to feel it more than most round here as i only have a small team 11 cocks(9 left now) this year. So if i lose a few yearlings its a big dent in my team .So this post will be a big help to me hopefully. In answer to the question i just treat them the same as my old bird thats where i am going wrong i think lol

we pay 65p per bird for inland race's . my race team consist of 11 this year. down to 9 after the first race .But will bring a few hens into play when the cocks need resting.I'm hoping to race a few nationals as well with this team. But money dictates the amount of birds we keep

i think a lot depends on feed mate.if your breaking them down early in the week expect less flying.Mine only go out of an evening for one hour and sometimes i may throw them down the road 20mile in the morning(very rare though).Saying that ive had to flag mine this week but that was due to me not giving them enough time last week as my little girl was in hospital so they didnt get looked after properly and now i'm working on there fitness but dont have time to road train them. I'm still expecting a good result this week though

3 base strains but all blended into my own now if that makes sense. Van reets jansen's and local flyers Jone's bros

11 sent 8 back but they only had one training toss so i suspect they will be here in the morning.more a hope than an expectation lol.

-
I'm in the same boat mate.I managed to get one trainer in at 20 mile due to personel reason's(bloody weather has been great as well).Ive only a team of 11 widowhood cocks i was gonna pick 3 to send and see what happen's.Hens will be used later in the season.

Having a bad day Roland?I was only offering an opinion mate and if you read it you will see i dont offer a cure i tell the guy to go to a vet. Its paramyxo virus mate i had it first year i started a great team of youngbirds from local flyers bought 12in from louella exactly same symptoms your showing now. water everywhere bits of green poo in the pools.Only a vet will tell you for sure .but you need to get the healthier one's vaccinated as soon as possible.Get them to a vet tomorrow you will see them dying in 4-5days if you dont.Fingers crossed for ya

Lol each to there own.I would just buy what i liked i would just pair them to a yearling be it hen or cock .
-
few weeks before training i leave open basket in loft birds come in and out of it young cocks fight over it.One or two days i basket all youngbirds and leave in garden. Then release back into loft after a few hours.Thats all i do.I dont want birds to like the basket just not be scared of it.
