Should be a random testing of all fed's so many a year and every winner of a certain amount of funds should also be tested.Thats just my opinion and no i dont know or even suspect anyone of using drug's but if its done as a mandotory testing then there could be no fingers pointed.

Well if i ask a question of a seller and they get all abusive accusing me of this or that or they go round the house's rather than answer the question or just generally dont satisfy me with the answer i wont buy of them simple as that. And i must admit the trend at the moment seems to favour the seller rather than the buyer.

If i was sending a 350 mile saturday i would feed a high fat content thursday and friday morning. On thursday evening i would put a carbohydrate loader in the water and leave it in till they get home.

If you buy as youngsters and race them at least you will get a good idea if there any good for stock bird's .But as its been pointed out if you buy stock birds you can breed more youngsters to race. But as allways the pedigree you get is only as true as the person writing it and that applies to every pigeon be it from a big stud or small team fancier.

What i mean is that if someone breeds winner to winner and so on he gets a name for himself with his birds when someone knocks on the door to buy some they dont then say i bought a youngun of a winner from niort they say i bought such and such's birds and then the name starts.

Doing well guy's keep it up

Allthough names are not important i do think a pedigree full of winners is and buying a bird like that usually equates to a name with it.

Can you watch the judges go round Phil or do you have to wait outside? Interested in showing a few birds this year but would like to watch the Judge's to see what they like.

Just moved youngbird shed to back of garden and knocked down oldbird shed moved it and rebuilt it just need to finish the inside now. All birds are in youngbird shed for the moment most are falling to bits in the moult but a few of this years youngster have yet to drop a feather.Between work and shed building its gonna be tight getting a december pairing still lets get through the moult first then we can reasses the situation i will split all the birds when the old bird shed is finished dunno if this is a good idea or not but time will tell. Also got the garden to level out and returf patio to lay and Plants to plant .Bloody hell i sound so domesticated .

Just received the results of the middlewich two bird breeder buyer. My bird came in 5th place winning 60 pounds for me and 60 pounds for m/m p.Foy while i am really pleased with the result and really pleased with the bird in general a credit to mr Foy.The bitter part is that the bloody bird sat on the shed for over 15min's only coming in after i climbed on the shed roof. Still thats down to my management lol all in all a good result.

Well i just bought two pair of Louella's One pair are Inbred to the Admiral and the other pair are bred back to blue daniella .I didnt know to much about these birds but heard they where mainly for sprint inland.I bought them mainly to build a team to compete against the club and fed on the Inland. But after reading the comments on here i may be trying a few on the water when i get the chance .Managed to get one late bred of them this year and must say if he fly's as well as he look's i will be Happy.

LOL what was all that about?

Well ive just moved my young bird shed today and will be refitting it in the week.then next week the same will be done to the Oldbird shed.then the moult should be well and truly underway(nearly finished the old bird moult). Then it will be introducing next year yearlings to there new home then preparing for breeding. Then a few shows and christmas and then looking at me new youngsters and dreaming about the perfect pigeon wich will no doubt be in my shed next year of my best cock and hen then racing then crying cos i lost my best cock on the first race and my perfect pigeon went on a flyaway....... Lol loads to do and see in the winter months.

Tarbes with the NFC i sent three and really fancied one to come.I lost my Big dopey pied and my best yearling(maybe 700 miles is to far for a yearling) due to inexperience i really thought the birds where ready . i got my little louella hen back a few weeks later. To make it worse the nest mate to the yearling i lost was my Niort winner so i think i may have thrown away a good bird.As long as i can learn from it then its not a total loss .

I really think you will need to experiment as some breed's cross better with other's.
