  7. Best wishes, from myself and my Dad.
  8. RIP Billy. Condolences to Grace and David. A great Pigeon man to a small loft. I can remember a time when there was a queue to get Doos off him, and being the true gent that he was, he always gave birds to sales if asked, maybe too many at times, but he would always help anyone out for a club, fed, nat, or charity sale. There are a lot of men can say they had success with his bloodlines, my dad for one. Jocky King owed a lot to W.& D. Davidson's Blood.
  9. R.I.P. Ian. Thoughts to your Family.
  10. After reading the article put on here about Jock Allen, and it said that he had 19 Doos that had scored in the SNFC. Just wondered, how many 5ooml pigeons do you have in your race team at present? Not including retired ones not racing anymore. How many birds do you think you would need to cover all the races in a season?
  11. J Miller of Edinburgh timed in a Van Hee cock that won 13th open and £1000+, He later won the Y/B Nat with a son of him that year. Met him in Belgium that year on a pigeon trip,we never saw him for the first 3 days of the holiday, was too busy celebrating! Went to Van Hee's to buy some of the same doos and they sent him away without even seeing one, saying they had none for sale as the Japs had bought them all. He got taken to Van Bruane instead, and got treated to a visit around the whole set up for the afternoon, and some y/bs to boot.
  12. Remember that night well too Rooster. Andra Lamond timed in 'Blue Power' as he later named him. Had to listen to them getting pished and him dining out on it for years! Nightmare lol.
  13. Hope you get them back? This guy has a problem you need to get in touch with the Police about this, they are well aware of him.

    Proud Granda

    Congratulations to All the family.
  15. RIP
  16. Interesting read, did they have to put padding on the inside of the loft? Any that I have had in were always bouncing off the inside when you went near them! Did they calm down over time?

    Beans Maize

As Peter said, Court Farm Feeds near Hereford are good quality and reasonable. They do a Peas mix which the Welsh lads like. Down by Cardiff there is a farm near the Airport sells Beans. Used to advertise in the pigeon papers. Also Roger Sutton near Congleton sells his own farm beans etc.He is one of the main dealers for Van Robaeays. £8 for 25kg for his beans last year. Near Evesham there is a farm there does some also, but can't remember the name. They used to deliver to Scotland a lorry load every year.
  19. RIP
  20. Well Done.
  21. Timed in one yesterday from Bordeaux to be 4th sec, he scored from there last year also, with the combine. As a y/b I libbed him 10ml from owners loft, he went home that day. Result, I thought? The daft beggar only stuck him straight back into a trainer the very next day only a few miles from where I live?! He then phoned me that night to ask if it was at mine's?! Said he didn't want and that I could have it, told him I had more than enough ybs already thanks. Well if it comes back here I'm gonna nut it, so I kept him. , and Last week, picked up a stray in the garden, gave it to a mate who lives near the address, it hung about and didn't leave, so he reported it. It was only the brother of the guy who wanted to nut the first one???!!! He came to my mate's to pick it up on sunday so I texted my mate to tell him to let his brother know!
  22. Thanks John, Is there some of your good bloodlines in that one?
  23. Thanks for the good wishes guys. Think my Dad is more chuffed than I am! Just goes to show you, there was a reason why he dragged me round the Coal Bings of Lanarkshire,(Coalburn &Lesmahagow), instead of taking me to fitbaw matches,Butlins etc.like most Dads did?!Lol
  24. Thanks Lewis, Don't who is more knackered, the Doos or me?! Had a couple of wee wans last night after I came back from the clocks. Up at 5 this morn, timed another 3. A great end to the Season. I have noticed that you two Avonbrig escapees are doin no sae bad yerseles?! Well Done to you and David.
