  3. Going by experience, think it depends on the Union that it's reported to? Had some fun with IHU South in the past, but the man was a real character, sadly he's now passed on. The Welsh had a very good lady doing there's. RPRA and SHI never had any trouble with.
  4. Welcome back to the sport Bob. Which part of the U.K. are you racing to? Plenty of racing up to 5-600mls in most regions. The extreme distance might be a bit more difficult to find and do.
  5. RIP

    Tam Law

    Is he still doing feed?
  7. There was a fancier in Moreton in Marsh a few years ago but don't know if he still races.
  8. Hi there, I have moved to just outside Bourton on the Water. There's a club at Shipston on Stour, also Evesham have a club, and you can race in the BICC from there also I believe.
  9. My oldest was rung in 1996,plus I still have a couple rung in 1998. If I knew how to get photos on here I would show them to you.

  11. Can I ask where in France it is reported?
  12. Yes, the Menin Gate is something to experience, 100 years on and everything still stops in the road till the last post has been played. There is also a shop in the town now run by the CWGC to give advice to people wishing information on the wargraves. Poperinge is also lovely, and if your into your history, it's where our army shot the poor buggers for desertion. The post is still there I believe. If your wife likes the coast La Panne is nice, as is Knokke Heist. Anyways, enjoy the break.
  13. Lucky man! Mine refused to go with me when I suggested it. Lol It's a lovely country, I suppose it depends on where you want to go and are based from. If you are near Ypres I would try asking some of the SNFC committee who their contacts are over there as the birds are very well looked after I'm told.
  14. Living not far from the one loft site quite a few of the lads in the club have bought birds from the sales over the years. Some have been lucky and bred good birds from their purchases, others said they haven't had any joy. I suppose it's like all sales.

    Bean Question

Went up to where they dry them last week. They looked a lot bigger than the ones we feed our birds with. Talking to the worker he said they have put them twice through the drier to get the moisture down, even though it's been a drier season that last year.
  16. The farm where I live grows beans for animal feed, I'm told. Does anyone know what type of beans they are? Asked one of the lads if they are Tic beans but he didn't know what I was on about.
  17. Think the SHU charged a £1 per bird at one time to register a foreign rung bird. Don't know about nowadays?
  18. Saw an article on the news that Golden Eagles have been released around the Moffat area. Wondered if this will have any affect to the other BOP's in the area? Or just add more problems to resident wildlife?
  19. Well Done All
