The same youngsters will be the future of every loft.We all need to exercise caution To limit damage sustained.How Much good youngsters are lost through no fault of there own? Due to factors outwith our control. Then blame the parents of said birds being no use as stock? It always was the survival of the fittest. But even that doesn't apply to racing nowadays.

I am sure I read a book a few years ago mention fanciers putting hens essentially in a hot shed or garage for a day or two.To bring them into condition for certain races.It also said the birds were damp when handled as if sweating? Once removed outside .

Hi John my neighbour said this morning another 15 came off rigs and landed on boat as the half dozen were flying around. He's not caught any as yet. But feeding them rice and water on top of shelter deck . He's got a week to go. Doesn't think there's enough rice for that amount of birds. As four Philippineos are Going through more than a kg a peace per day. It's tragic.

My next door neighbour has a fishing boat and are currently on standby duty. And half dozen gb birds on board. Only problem is he is approximately 130 miles east of Dundee.He's got a week to go before he returns home.
