The RSPB carries more weight, because it is a single nationwide body with one voice, and is simply better known to the UK population as a whole. Ask a sample of people in the street what the RSPB is , and the majority will know. Ask the same sample what the RPRA is, and the majority won't have a clue. However, they probably will have a guess that it's 'Royal'....something. Both RSPB & RPRA have a connection, and that's the Royal Patronage. The RSPB have always looked to, and counted on this patronage, due to the 'political' weight it may carry. Have the RPRA employed the same tactical plan in their campaign ? With its' Royal connection, have they sought the backing of any of the Royal Family for their cause ? Is it now time we ask of our Patron to get involved ? JMO.
