  1. Box perches. If V-perches are spaced adequately, you won't get as many in, compared to box type.

    The Budget

Who said they would get more from the public purse in their retirement ? Wasn't me !! Wasn't the Chancellor !! Who did say it ?

Don't see how you reach that conclusion when the commission on public sector pensions hasn't even investigated it yet !!

I take it when you use the term 'haves' you refer to those in the upper echelons in the public sector ?

But what about the estimated 880,000 low wage people who will no longer pay tax ? Surely it's good for them ? What about operational allowance for troops doubled ? What about personal income tax allowance raised to £7475 ? What about rise in capital gains tax ? Possibility for councils to freeze local council tax for a year ? No duty increase on alcohol & fags ? State pension to be linked to earnings ? More help for new small businesses ? Surely it has its' good points ?
  6. What sort of room do you have available for your new loft ?

  13. You're right there Pat. We buried Joe yesterday (Friday) and I've been in a pretty bad twist since. Over the past year, I was determined to come back into pigeons again........now, I don't know. A future in pigeons without him doesn't sit right with me. As I said, a strange feeling, hard to describe !
  14. Congrats. & best wishes to all
  15. Right again on that one Bob.......'Friends' on facebook means absolutely nothing. One guy had over 250,000 'friends'....do you think he knew all of them ? Not in your wildest dreams. Forget the number of friends people have on face book....doesn't really mean much, if anything !!
  16. But you said her name is Laura Clark !!
  17. Just to inform those members on site of the sudden passing of my old mate of the past 36 years, W.J. ( Joe ) Higginson of Lurgan. He passed peacefully in his sleep early this morning at hospital. I purchased my first birds from Joe, his old Fabry / Sion pigeons, and remember giving him £3.00 a pair for youngsters. Later in our friendship, we became partners with showracers, and were very successful. He was a fancier of the 'old brigade', and I will cherish the memories of our time and success together. Sleep the perfect sleep, my good friend. I'll be lost without you. Paul
  18. This will interest many Irish fanciers, both North & South. Will be very interested to see your future posting on prices and delivery routes.

  22. I think their future lies with the relevant Region (if they are RPRA) Under Rule 166a, the Region can dissolve the club, as there are less than 4 members.
