  1. Just logged on, and when I went on to portal, an advert for RSPB membership comes up on right hand side of page under the Tauris advert.
  2. Only tip I would give you is to keep the smooth side facing out. Generally, shuttering ply has 2 different finishes to its' sides, so keep the smooth one facing out, and things should be OK. As Oldyellow says, creosote substitute ( as it is now ) would be a good preserver, but don't be afraid to 'slap it on' and give it a few coats, as all plywood will absorb creosote like nobodies' business. Stay away from certain 'fence' preservers, as I have found their absorbtion is minimal. Best of luck with your endeavours.
  3. No 20.....class act !!

  7. Nice set-up Chris, the loft sits very well in its' surroundings. Really nice to see the showracers given their freedom, and hope you can continue with that type of management. Best wishes mate.

    T & K Mawhinney

As you say, there's always next year. I'm convinced she has a great future ahead of her. Sincerest congrats on your class wins, and other cards. Special mention for 'Young Todd' and his class win....what a pigeon.
  9. If anyone gets an info on any winners, can they post them here please, so we can see who did all the winning. Thanks folks.
  10. Best of luck Brian.
  11. Not going either. Looking after mates' birds while he's there. Looking forward to hearing how he gets on at the show, has a good team entered.
  12. Best wishes to all going, and if you're driving to Blackpool, please take care if you encounter any foggy or icy conditions......stay safe everyone.

Was just up at Timmy's getting my instructions for being 'loft manager' for Blackpool weekend, and had a 'once-over' the team going this year. Once again, an absolute credit to you mate, and they should do the business again. Best of luck mate.
  16. Would agree, the 'Hero's' auctions will have some exceptional birds in them, and could well be an ideal starting point.
  17. Just wondered, does anyone make up their own herbal remedies, and if so, what do you use, and when do you use them ?

    Boddy Rigdewood

Been dealing with Boddy & Ridewood for over 25 years, and overall found them to be fine. In all that time I only ever had cause to phone twice, reference any order I was waiting for / short delivered, and the problem was professionaly dealt with before close of trading that day.
  19. Most grateful. Cheers Paul.
  20. Just wondered would anyone have contact number for Pete Shaw of Bridlington ? Any help would be appreciated, Paul.
  21. Would it be true to say, Mick, that whilst Peregrines, for example, may not appear on an 'endangered' list, they will appear on a 'protected' list ?
  22. Just for informations' sake, Mick, what,if any,is the Irish Governments' viewpoint on BOP ?
  23. Signing a petition, has a nil monetery cost involved, so everyone can sign. OK, it's 'another' petition, but better that than doing absolutely nothing. With the current difficulties facing many fanciers in these hard financial times, to ask for a substantial donation to any fund, would be an impossibilty for quite a few. I,for one, will sign every petition placed in front of me, but being unemployed for the last 22 months, ask me for a donation of the size previously quoted......well, I'll leave you to guess the answer, and also, I believe, would many others. JMO.
