Drove over and collected the pigeon....the Hills' are really nice people and were concerned as to the birds welfare. I thanked them for their concern on behalf of the owner, and have contacted Jimmy from the Rialto club. Let's see what happens.

Well, it's been just over 9 weeks now since Mum went into hospital. She had her hip operation, and then 8 days later she had a major operation on her bowel, so 2 operations within such a short space of time knocked her back quite a bit,and it was all a bit touch and go for a while but with great care by doctors and nursing staff............... SHE's HOME !!!!!!! Came home to-day at about 3.00pm Am I chuffed or what My sincerest thanks to you all for your comments, the support you gave me was humbly received. Thank you all. Paul

I would say you're practically there. My opinion would be to cover the 4" gap you have at the back, and fit 2 vents at apex of roof ( 1 on each end ) something about 6" should be fine. I would use 'down turned' plastic vents ( available from ScrewFix )and have 1/4" wire in behind them. OMO.

I think you've done really well in getting so many pairs down. However, due to the short amount of time passed since moving them, personally I would give them some more time before I would start to question things. Again, if it was me, I would be really pleased so far, and be content if I could even get a pair of latebreds off the others. JMO.

This is a preliminary notice to advise interested fanciers that the Dunoon International Show will be held at its' usual venue of the Queens Hall, Dunoon on the weekend of November 19th & 20th ,2011. At present the plan will be to stage 2 shows on the same weekend, thus (hopefully) generating 2 candidates for the Championship class at Blackpool. To my knowledge, this is something which has never been achieved before. Evening folks. Just back home from evening visit to hospital. Well, she's still with us, fighting away. I most sincerely thank all who have taken the time to post your best wishes. I am really looking forward to when she comes through all this, because I'll print this all off, and let her read your comments. I try to go through life now with ' my glass half full, not, half empty' Many thanks again, Humbly, Paul.

Morning folks. Just popped home to get my head cleared for an hour or so. My Mother has just gone through hip surgery, but while she was recovering in hospital, an emergency arose with her abdomen....resulting in surgery this morning at 2.00am. Things very much touch and go at the minute, so I would ask you to send up a wee prayer for her recovery, and maybe if enough of us do it, the 'Man Upstairs' will let her stay with us for another while. God bless her, and I know she's 80 years old, but I'm convinced it's not her time. Thank you all, and God bless.
