  1. I would start with the Imperial War Museum, London. Maybe even better to start at IWM Duxford.
  2. Pen 27 gets my vote.
  3. May I offer Seasons' Greetings to all members and hope you all enjoy the Christmas festivities, especially if you are to celebrate with family and friends. Count your blessings. My thoughts go to all those who have suffered a personal loss over the past year, and realise the difficulty these next few days may bring, sincerely hoping you find an inner strength to carry you through. Remember the good times when you can. To those who suffer hardship through the current economic gloom, and those who find themselves un-employed at this time. I sincerely hope 2011 will bring change and a brighter outlook for the year. Chin up. Best wishes to all those associated with all the emergency services, whose professionalism shall once again be tested over the holiday period. And last, but my no means least...I raise a glass to those who serve in Her Majesties Forces should it be at home, posted overseas or on active duty. My thanks would never be enough. A quiet moment in contemplation for all those who have given their lives in the service of their country in whatever capacity they served, and the families they leave behind. Words are hard to find to convey my deepest thanks and sincerest condolences at this sad time. God bless and keep you all. My best wishes and thoughts go with you all. God Bless Paul.
  4. For dinner there will be 7 of us...myself,wife,son, daughter & husband, grand-daughter & mother in law. Oh, nearly forgot the 6 dogs as well !! Just the usual fayre..turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, yorkshire puds, cocktail sausages, brussels with bacon, peas, carrots, broad beans, gravy and onion sauce. Wine, beer, lager....whatever they want. Looking forward to Christmas Eve more, as we spend most of the day in our kitchen getting things ready, crimbo music on, kitchen nicely decorated, candles lit, mulled wine , various cocktails which my son tries on us, mince pies, smell of turkey cooking..plenty of craic...brilliant day.
  5. For those that have been to Blackpool....is there a chap who comes from Holland and has a stand selling 'Show Delbars ? Any info on quality and prices would be appreciated. Cheers folks Paul.
  6. Very, very slow here too ! Must admit have to think twice before logging on....not good.
  7. I wonder if I could ask a question, please ? Why has the winner of Class 8 ( Fancy breeds ) been excluded from competing for Best in Show ?
  8. Approx. £580.00
  9. Have been dealing with them for years. I only had one occasion recently when they were out of stock, so I rang chap in despatch and he did a Visa credit for me there and then...no probs.

Fair point Eamon. What was the 'normal' entry at this show, and with all you guys now missing, what could it effectively drop to ?
  14. Best of luck to you at the show. Remember to try and enjoy the experience. Let us know how it goes.
  15. Don't think there's a clash in Scotland. The only 'big' show I think is on the same date is the BSRF Southern region show.
  16. Very best of luck with them mate...don't take too many cards Let us know how it all goes. Would this be a 500+ show ?
  17. Air frost last night. Nice clear morning.Sun's out..not many clouds....no wind...bit chilly, but looking good
  18. You taking any Brian ?

  20. Happy Birthday Jimmy, have a good day
  21. Just back from the ' bru ' doing my usual signing on. Have visitors coming next week from Scotland, so it's a bit of a clean and tidy outside this weekend. Unfortunately, as soon as you've got everything brushed up and looking nice, another stormy night comes along, and you're back to square 1 !!

    Help Our Heroes

Would have to agree, it would be nice for the fancy here on PB to do some annual fundraising for this cause. No matter what we give, should it be donating or buying, it would never add up to the price they have paid.
  24. In fact, just thinking about this....to cross in a pure show racer could set you back years !!
  25. Sorry, but not necessarily correct. I know of teams of what are referred to as 'dipped' and they don't have any show racer in their bloodlines at all.
