Agree with Frank & Roland. If he's not broke to loft ( and he didn't cost too much ) get on the ball.......match the nesting condition he's in now , and watch the sparks fly !!!!!!

Don't measure corn at the minute with YB's in the nest. If it looks like it'll hold corn .........fill it !!!!! Feed plenty, and don't worry if there's a bit of waste. Horse it into 'em ;)

A mate of mine was a great user of a blow torch in the lofts. Cleaned the stock birds one day, ( they were at his parents' farm) and gave it a go over with the blow torch, as he had done for years, then a misting of Virkon. That night he was called by his mother to come quickly, the loft was on fire !! In the couple of minutes it took him to drive down the road the loft was ablaze when he arrived.....nothing survived. Afterwards he thought the only explanation was that some 'hidden' dust/feathers must have smouldered and later turned into a small flame, which went on to engulf the loft. He was totally gutted at the time....hasn't used a blow torch since, and never will again. Not my idea either, simply wouldn't take the chance.

I think Fifer has it right, if the club would give it to your mate in writing the reason why he was turned down, that should be taken to the relevant Union. The club in question, if the allegation is correct, would also be guilty of discrimination, altogether a different kettle of fish. Your mate could put forward the argument he simply cannot afford ETS, and has been discriminated against. OMO.

Too wide in my opinion. If you used them for youngsters, they could be divided again....9" wide, have used this width before, no probs.
