  1. I don't believe any youngster is worth more than £20 purely because their are no guarantee's it will do what it say's on the packet.
  2. I have worked in an environment where one loft with one door had a corridor leading into 6 sections and I found it to be a bit of a problem at times and for that reason I did not incorporate one into my loft as I could not see any advantage in having one. Its really a personal thing.
  3. I can also recommend Jim Heeps as he constructed mine 3 years ago to my specifications and was extremely well priced compared to some.

    Gutted

How the devil did we manoeuvre from PMV to Flu jabs ?? THE HISTORY OF VACCINES which Ian has put up should be read and re-read by all as its certainly opened my eyes and Ian should be applauded for it. :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping:
  5. I am not going to play the word game however Poll = A counting of votes. Ballot = Secret voting. My understanding is by those present. The downside of any such move would cost the organisation a pretty penny in postal costs and Gareth pointed out that their have been occasions when the SNFC struggled to get a quorum, postal voting would encourage most to stay at home. IMO.
  6. Sorry once again, You can not infringe SHU rules SO you would have to change the SHU CONSTITUTION first and I cannot see that happening.
  7. Sorry Ian, SHU standing orders number 4 does not allow postal voting.
  8. I was always of the opinion that when proposals are put forward at meetings the proposer has at first the reason he wishes a change in the Status Quo and the construction of the change to members who may not see the reason behind the proposal, also giving the body of the hall the opportunity to voice their dissent or otherwise, The proposer when summing up in answering dissenting questions then has the last word before voting takes place. Postal votes takes away what can be meaningful and perhaps elaborate discussion and I for one am totally against it. The sheep I mentioned in an earlier post are those members who don't know which way to vote but notice a friend has put his hand up and do likewise, The disrupters are those members who don't wish to listen to discussion and just get on with the vote because they have made their mind up beforehand. I post from first hand experience and grown ups don't come into the equation DAl2.
  9. A little food for thought John, The logistics of such a proposal would have to determine the basketing or crating of the birds and would those Feds who basket when a Geraldy is transporting require a central marking point with Geraldy crates or vice versa. I would assume after looking at previous posts that it would in fact be Geraldy transportation that would take preference over baskets and wonder how many of the 6 Feds have access to them. As the logistics create a problem how would we rectify it to the satisfaction of all.
  10. Postal Voting !!!! What would the sheep do then ??. Cannot see the disrupters wanting postal votes as it would ruin their day out.

    Man. Unt.

I have been a Man Utd fan since Fergie went down there and the only problem I personally see is the mistake Moyes took in replacing the backroom staff and replacing it with his Everton team. We as fanciers know that when you have a winning system you don't change it, unfortunately Moyes has not yet learned that lesson but with hindsight he may yet see the folly of his ways and reflect on his decisions. The only consolation to-day was city being beat LOL.
  12. So its Lanarkshire attire which will be gutties, track suit bottoms, T-shirt with appropriate crap on the front and baseball cap "optional". The wife says ok put us down for a ticket as long as she gets in for free and all the promised bevy. One assumes it will be pay at the function ?.
  13. Is that no John's position ??.
  14. Just wish the X factor was finished so I can get my telly back
  15. And their was I going to treat you, maybe, LOL.
  16. So Alf philanthropy does not become you even though you had a nice cheque from Mr Garven which my hard earned old age pension would have been part off, Shame On You.
  17. We would be honoured to take you up on your wonderful offer Walter and perhaps some other philanthropic from Lanarkshire would perhaps furnish us with some mode of transportation to and fro then I know those present will be enthralled with our company. P.S. Shanks's pony would not be acceptable due to my disposition.
  18. Alf, God loves a trier !.
  19. LADIES GET FREE !!! that's sexism, what about us OLD AGE PENSIONERS as £12 is about 10% of our income not that I am crawin mind. If Mr President aka John Quinn treats me to a couple of pints and a couple of vodies for the wife then we would be honoured to attend your function. Hands across the border etc,.
  20. The SNFC AGM'S should in my opinion be on a rotating system North, South, East and West although I don't necessary agree with a section with a handful of members having it in their back yard.
  21. Yir excused comin frae the boarders LOL
  22. Don't stay in Falkirk now. Retired to Camelon and Midland Fed about 3 years ago.
  23. So the President of the Midland Fed is against the idea ?, well there's a surprise as he is not only the President of the Midland Fed but Secretary of the SNFC !! Says a lot regarding what he thinks of the Fed members when he is not interested in their welfare.
  24. Food for thought, The 6 Feds organise a young bird race from Cheltenham the same day as the SNFC hiring Lanarkshire Transporter in fact why not organise a yearling derby from Cheltenham, Then old birds into Sartilly, Rennes, Nantes and Avranches. Our birds would cross the channel at the Cherburg peninsular hitting the Isle of White and up the west side of the Pennines through Beatock following the M74 due to no East coast birds to take them through the tweed valleys. We in the West would have truer racing regardless of the wind. Sorry I am off topic perhaps an administrator could rectify.
