A Trimdon fed ring (now amalgamated with Shotton fed) secretary is John Luke tel: 01429 823513 mob: 07719 414339 You could report direct to NEHU - I am led to believe it now has a similar reporting mechanism to the RPRA but have yet to try it out personally http://www.nehu.co.uk/newsite/default.aspx

Thanks Michael - but I am registered with the telephone preference service - the majority of these calls are number withheld - though I have reported those within the UK that have identifiable phone numbers The one I asked yesterday who they worked for - I phoned the insurance company last night - and they have lied - the explanation given was plausible These phone calls have increased since my mothers previous home was put on the market through an estate agent and my phone details were used as contact details - I blame them - I think I will change my phone number - I don't get these phone calls on my mobile phone

September 2013 I had a (very) minor accident which was not my fault (honest LOL!!!) The person who caused the accident was in a works van - stopped without indicating - (just pulled up) and then reversed into me, he was a young man playing music on headphones and couldn't hear me sounding my horn - there was someone behind me and I couldn't go anywhere as the works van decided to reverse into the drive of a house I happened to be in front of To cut a long story short my number plate was damaged (car classed as illegal to drive as crack was through the numbers) and my bumper had a crack in it I've had several phone calls about this mountain of money that has been put aside for my 'Level 1 discomfort', and is there any reason why I haven't claimed it Because I haven't suffered any discomfort This last week alone I have had several phone calls and 2 today alone. The last phone call - told me they were the insurance company of the insured whose fault the accident was - so I told the company I was going to inform the insured that his insurance company was hassling me - and I was also complaining to the police that I was being incited to commit fraud - to which this person said I would have difficulty proving that - and I said (bluffing) I had recorded all the conversations - had he not realised - I have left a message for the company whose fault it was that their insurance company is trying to get me to make a claim for 'discomfort' (up to £3000 can be awarded without requiring any medical evidence and that amount has been set aside) What is it all about - and why won't they just leave me alone? My phone only rings from someone wanting to hassle me about: PPI (Am I the only person in the world who has never had PPI?) Green issues (why don't 1 want to get paid for the energy I produce through having these bl**dy ugly things sat on my roof - cos I don't want them...) A free boiler - I wouldn't be entitled - to because I am not on tax credits or means tested benefits Or the silent phone calls - the phone rings and there's nobody there - keep happening from a firm in Spennymoor who evidently is a loan company and another finance company in America (1471 gives me the numbers for them, but most are number withheld) Anybody else have these problems and how do you handle them?

More like 4 males and one female

I disagree (sorry) It would only be the same if you were all flying to the same loft - if the transporter was parked to the west of the measured racepoint - then it would be closer to the westerly lofts - and further away for the easterly lofts (for instance) wouldn't it?
-
First race is 3 weeks on Saturday (4th April) Open race the week before - but won't be sending No training as yet
-
Some site fees are extortionate - one site the UNC uses has put their fees up to £300 (so £150 would be a bargain for us!!)

We have a hen (new stock, yearling) who hasn't laid - she's been looked at by two fanciers - their conclusion - she's fat!! So she's on barley for a while!!
-
Very nice Lindsay - even some of my blue chequers have had boring blue bars!!
-
I'm a little disappointed up to now with the colouring - a blue pied and a pale red chequer by the look of it - some of the pictures show the dam (red pied) and sire (grizzle)
-
We have a 14 year old cock proudly sitting a fertilised egg - his first in 2 years (and only the one out of two laid) He has the nickname 'Pork Pie', as he has 5 firsts from Melton Mowbray! He is an old cock given a perch for life in the stock loft, we didn't expect him to fill an egg despite him being paired to a younger hen - his last youngster - a cock - is also in the stock loft and was a late bred (a warmer weather youngster) However is 14 a bit old to be bringing the youngster up - should it be fostered? What's your opinion?

Quotes and advice - to snap the hand off the insurance company at £174 (the rest can't compete - or will not quote) So next year will it be 3x that again - it's all wrong How can you insure a 2 bed 2 rec 2 bathroom bungalow (my mothers - not mine ) for under £100 complete with several million pounds public liability insurance, (and unlimited buildings and unlimited contents + one free meercat ) and its costing £174 to insure £5000 worth of baskets and equipment for the pigeon club It just doesn't make sense
-
We've had a quote from another insurance company - £300 - it gets worse...!! The other half is now on the phone to the NFU
-
The insurance company have changed their policy And just because you see a sign saying park at your own risk does not mean they do not have public liability insurance - if you parked your car and tripped in a hole in the car park and broke your leg - they would be liable!!
-
The insurance company will not issue a policy without public liability added (it is the insurance company saying this is compulsory- not the club wanting it!!) I cannot (and would not) add baskets to my house insurance (where would I put 25 baskets) they are kept in a container on allotments and have always been insured under the pigeon club name - if anything went missing I would lose my 'no claims' bonus and I am not prepared to take that risk
-
Easier said that done Andy - you can't use comparison sites because they don't have appropriate 'drop down boxes', and shopping around is difficult when so few companies provide the insurance - and I don't know of any!!!
-
The club insurance now has to have public liability insurance (according to the insurance company) and the premium has increased from £55 to £174 (which the club cannot afford) Who are you insured through (and does the premium compare?) There are not many insurance companies about who will insure us pigeon clubs but that increase is ridiculous - it is more than my building and contents insurance for my home (and that includes £10 million public liability) and we are only insuring the baskets!!
