Have trained like a madman over the years and stop the vehicle birds out and away as quickly as possible! Have tried all the usual sitting the birds outside for a wee look before,Have however over the last few years used the same spot which when liberated the birds mostly head home very quickly with no hanging about which can be helpfull against raptor strikes.

Very well done to Eddie and davie on two very good wins,hard place to get a ticket so well done to all prize winners and well done Bob and Callum judging in short sleeves at Clarkston shows how tough us boys fae the west are!

Well done to all the prize winners in what always is a hard nut to crack at Newmains! Hope to get to a few classes after a wee break in the sun!

Some great wee gems already chaps,thinking myself and not sure as I have enjoyed plenty of races for all different reasons! Up near the top was clocking 3 birds from Nantes 614 miles on the shift in just over an hour and clocking the last one at 6am which was a 10 year old hen!!!

Had a great night with the family at the presentation,the food,dancing and the prize giving ceremony was very good and each fancier given a great round of applause,tried to get round as many fanciers who won nationals,sections, the top trophies and gold and silver awards as possible and shake their hands as if you can't get up for the SNFC as a fancier then when can you!! A great night and well done the top table.

Great flyers from the 60s through with much sought after blood lines,should be a few guys on here who can tell you a bit more though.

Had a very good wee afternoon at the Gartcosh social club which was a great venue for a sale the SNFC take note,well done terry and wee joe for selling the doos helped out by Derek and another chap I did not know,stacks of good doos on show for some really great prices,had a couple of shandies watching the real jags beat the Inverness fakes! Lovely and cheap Cheeseburger and chips and a few games of pool with former SHU president and pal John Barlow,well done the Heroes team and a big missed opportunity for fanciers to strengthen their teams.

Enjoyed the night and very good company,great to see fellow club mates collecting these wonderful trophies with decades of history,looking forward to 2014 and hopefully the lsc members to the fore once again.

The above club are having their presentation night at the Avonbridge hotel in Hamilton 7pm for 7.30 start,after a lovely meal this years guests top fife fanciers Gary Peggie and Brian Chalmers will be on hand to present the trophies,guest speaker is raconteur George Kirkpatrick! Why not come along to one of the oldest clubs in Scotland and enjoy some great company in what should be a smashing night,a lot of the pigeon basics members will be there with a few of them collecting prizes rebus,Gareth rankin,alec Guinness and last but not least this years main prize winner Delboy.
