Danny don't think you will find many doos in the north section that's sprinters on the national result . What's a sprint for some might not be a sprint for others us up here . Regardless if its north ,south, east or west winning the national averages would be some achievement
  2. What makes you think that ???
  3. I don't know if he still has them but goggs Wilson fae Turriff was selling jealousy boxes it might be worth your while trying him
  4. Ken my birds have food in front of them 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Sometimes it's a job getting them to stop exercising once they get in race condition .
  5. Yip sorry everything is sold
  6. :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:
  7. Hi Brian I have a petron trap on my roundabout section and a redstart trap on my young bird section . If I was to but another trap I would defo buy the petron trap better quality and a better trap to use . IMO
  8. Did,nt think it would take long to get all the doos away a steal at £15 each . Only the loft to go now and if anyone is needing a loft this one is a cracker and the price he is asking for it is a snip of what it's worth . All the best of health to you johnny . Also a big thank you to the fifer for allowing me to hold this sale for johnny .
  9. :emoticon-0140-rofl:
  10. What about the euro tunnel John that's another option for you
  11. I know we can't afford to lose any fanciers but he has to put his health first .
  12. Your right Alan his doos were topping the fed for him last year from 300 mile plus .
  13. Right guys I got a phone call today from a well respected friend and fancier telling me that he is not able to continue with the doos in which he has kept and raced for the last 46 year. He is on oxygen 24 hours aday and not able to spend any length of time in the loft so for health reasons he has to give them up . He asked me to see if I could help him get his doos and dooket sold for him as he is not able . I will not name him on here but if anyone has any interest in any of the doos or loft I will take them out to see them if I,m not available I will arrange for a another fancier friend to take you to see them hope I make sence in what I,m saying . Before I start I must say a big thank you to THE FIFER and pigeonbasics as a site for allowing me to do this . for sale there is 38 auld birds in which some of them have topped our fed the north of Scotland fed . He also did nae bad at the nationals when he flew in them a few year ago even won the north section .the doos are for sale at a mere £15 each . His loft is a cracking joiner made tonge and groove loft which is 21 by 8 foot 4 sections all doweled inside with gratings on the floor . Included with the loft is v perches box perches and 21 nest boxes with up and over fronts .if you are interested either post on here or pm me and I will get a time arranged with him for you to come out to see the doos .
  14. Ronnie if it would help you in anyway I could easily nip over to maud and get it for you . Or if you won't I can get from bam fords I think we will be having a club order from them in the next 2 to. 3 weeks ..
  15. Likewise rab hence the reason I bought a new loft 6 year ago and changed my system determination .regardless of which clock I used lol
  16. Know what your saying rab but when I was in the in the other broch club and new to the doo game I found it disheartening I was in at the same time as them but could,nt get a ticket cause of the overfly and some of them filling their clocks from the short races and thinking their world beaters .hence the reason only the first3 doos count in the Scottish races it gives the novices a boost getting a ticket
  17. Can't see what difference how much clocks you have the first doo is the most important one regardless of how much clocks you have . In the national can you nae have your ets and a manual set but you can only use one for clocking and the other for a back up .
  18. Gary it's like fanciers with good loft locations .theres guys in the other Fraserburgh club I have to give a mile overfly to and the doos come over the top of their loft before they come to Fraserburgh . Pigeon racing will never be fair to some we just have to try our best and enjoy them .ets or manual I would,nt go back to manual clocking jmo
  19. The debate goes on like you said it doesn't matter what kind of clock you use it's only your first doo that can win the race . I have noticed that the fanciers that normally moan about things we the doos is the fanciers that look for excuses every week cause they Cana get a ticket never mind win a race . There was a fancier in my club that's got Parkinson's disease one day whilst he was waiting for the doos to come home one came a lot quicker than he expected anyway he froze to the spot and coul,nt lift his legs for 10 minutes luckily he had ets even though he did,nt win he still got the thrill of thinking hehad a quick een imagine of how he would of felt if he did,nt have the ets to time his doo in on that day .
  20. i have never given my doos baytril but i remember bob mcdonald telling me he was speaking to a vet over in the german doo show a few year ago and the vet told him he has given dead doos that have been given baytril a few times a autopsee and there bones are realy britle so for me i cant get my head round why anyone would use it but each to their own i suppose
  21. nae me is it
  22. Lot 11 £35 please
  23. did delboy not start last season,s youngbird progamme with 7 youngsters and finish the season including the YBN with the 7 still in the loft ???????
  24. i am in total agreement with you . you have to give credit where its due boll oxx
  25. say no more . fanceirs live where they live and when they put up a good performance they deserve all the credit in the world regardless if they live north-east south or west .
