They were with our fed last weekend at Battle . Also think there was 3 or 4 doos sent to Ypres from the Highlands and Islands fed

Got a blankety blank here but suppose it happens in the biggest race o the year . Must say a massive well done to all that's timed especially ma work mate chris Donaldson on winning the north section and club mate Jimmy Dickie on being 2nd section .

Loads of doos missing with returns poorer than expected considering the weather conditions . I will end by passing on my congratulations to my club mate Jimmy Dickie on getting 2nd north section fae Alencon could,nt happen to a nicer block .

Thanks Tiger here's hoping the young team do it . I have the 2 best doos in my ducker away to it a hen that I sent to Alencon last year on the roundabout got her dinner time second day just missed out on a ticket . Also sent the best doo I have ever had she won the section fae Clermount 603 mile last year and she is bouncing . Cross the fingers and toes time now and hope or a good race and may the best doo win CANNA WAIT

Davie as we (us) up here know we have different doos to some that send .

Normally yearlings do well from Battle . I only sent 2 the 2 that were 1st and 2nd fed from Battle last year. Good luck to the whole fed with good returns

My own personal opinion is that Ypres is killing the gold cup numbers as fanciers see Ypres as the easy option . They should do away with Ypres then we might see the gold cup numbers rise . I wander if there would own up as to taking the easy option ??
