The smell of ferrets will definately deter them. Find some one that keeps them and when they clean out the hutch get the content and sread it on the ground round the loft. Keep putting down fresh every now and again to keep the scent strong and they will stay away. Paul.

I cannot recommend these birds highly enough. I was down at Jimmy's on Sunday and I saw these youngbirds and they are fantastic. Great birds from a 100% genuine fancier. I bought 12 last year and went back for more and everyone is quality. Paul.

I would definately want them trained and fit before sending to a race. Get them ready with as many trainers as possible before sending. The weather this weekend does not look good it may be better next week. If they are fit the extra 30 miles or so wont make much difference to them. There is definately mileage in contacting the 'Save our songbirds society' from what I know the organisation is made up of disillusioned ex RSPB members who feel that birds of prey are over protected and thus having a disasterous effect on the native songbird population. Paul.
