  6. My best race was last year at my kids school. My daughter asked me to run the dad's race and i couldn't refuse her. She had not won anything in the races and her big brother had won just about everything and had a chest-full of ribbons. Anyway i ran the race and won it and I received my ribbon. I promptly ran over to where Erin ( my daughter ) was sitting and pinned my ribbon onto her t-shirt . I can still see her smile today.
  7. You never know, a case of the old Nobby Styles and I am sure I would try anything

  9. Submerge the hen is haot water (make sure it is not too hot) Massage warm olive oil into the vent trying to get some inside taking time to ensre the mascle gets time to relax and then keep in a warm dry place. Good call from Tony re the codliver oil capsule and if you have some calcium liquid this will be a huge help also. Repeat the hot water and olive oil after a couple of hours and keep in a warm place. Dont try to force the egg it could lead to great sometimes fatal problems. A common cause of egg-binding is calcium deficency. Cod liver oil on the food for a couple of weeks along with plenty grit or a calcium supplement will usually help avoid this problem. Paul.
  10. Thanks for the feed back and the photos guys it is much appreciated. Paul.
  11. That is my idea highest part at the back if it is to be flat. Thanks Don. Regards, Paul.

  13. That is for a full height apex, I can have a lower one with less of a gradient but just not sure. Paul.
  14. That is a cracker Adrian.
  15. I have just ordered a new loft from a local shed builder. I have to draw the plan for what I want and take it to him and he will build it. I am in a bit of a quandry over what type of roof to have wether it will be flat or apex. I have mulled over both and cant decide. The biggest problem with the apex is that I will not be able to have a full apex due to the height it will be and planning restrictions, it will be a sort of partial apex. What are your thoughts on the style of roof I should go for. Thanks, Paul.
  16. Go to the supermarket and buy the budget bottled water. Most are arod 30-40p for a 2 litre bottle and you will have no freshness problems. If you are feeling flush you could but the Perrier ;D Paul.

  20. Robbie, when you speak to him tell him how to delete pm's :P
  21. I have never tried it to be honest Adrian. Sometimes though the the more contentious methods work and deliver outstanding results at times. My gut feeling would be they would more likely produce breeders rather than racers. Just my opinion. Paul.
