Yes he will TRY to hunt, But Wet feathers don't work as well as dry , Also these birds don't have big energy stocks So on windy days they to work harder to stay on prey , And that's why fanciers who wait for so called Bonny days to train Sun out ! Think u shud sort Mice problem 1st , Then birds mite sort themselves be surprised if a few mice appearing in loft would bring birds down so quick , I had mice for years , Done my head in , but didn't affect birds health , was the cats That ware attracted to lofts was problem, often at nite , birds don't rest ? so don't look right , Sorted now mice free zone , Atb

I have a 20 yr old hen, and since las yr I noticed her whole mouth , tongue , is Black ?, thought It strange when first noticed it , but it doesn't,t seem bother her, it not a slime , I just put it down to old age , she doesn't go out loft much , but if it had been slime You hav to watch drinkers ( other birds) I not a clue cause it , but doesn't bother her so Doesn't bother me , Just old timer seeing out end of her days , hope u find out Atb
