I read it wrong m8, I see that now. Good stuff

I was assuming we weren't allowed to train until the second phase on or after the 18/6. I was giving a fortnight for the natural boys but you only need one or two days to train if applied properly.
-
Aye, that's my point, the 3rd or 4th week in July is our limit. Not 4 x 200 mile races m8, 4 races up to 200 miles.
-
Canny happen Walter, you cant fly obs at the distance past the 3rd or 4th week in July unless you apply a darkness system on them.
-
Correct me if I a wrong but I think phase 2 would be 3 weeks after 28/5 which is 18/6. You would then need a fortnight to set up everything ( training etc )so you wouldn't be racing until 2/7. You'd need 6 weeks to the national and that is too late so ,in my opinion, the Ob National racing is off. Best you can hope for is 4 races in July out to 200 miles. omo.

Percy will be really hungry at the moment with their ybs hatching this week, if we get the go ahead to train, get the late breds down the road before the main ones..

Hi Walter, I totally agree m8,it is a joke but I am just suggesting ideas for people that are choosing to race. Same person does the ringer and the sheets and their house mate does the handling. That's the way our club would do it but we only have 6 or 7 lofts. The exact same as loading the transporter, 2 house mates can carry the crates without any fear of each other.ps. I am high risk too so know exactly where you are coming from.
-
Two from the same house marking the pigeons helps the situation and the same idea for loading crates onto the transporter. Common sense applied and it could be safe enough.jmo

See they are still sun bathing in some parts of England as well as ignoring the social distancing rules. They don't realise they are extending our time in lockdown. I canny believe how thick some people are, totally irresponsible, selfish idiots. there are a lot m8, I look onto a park where they come from all over walking dogs, most with dogs off the lead, it hasnt come out yet legaly but they are saying all dogs should be on a lead and kept the 3 myrs away from people and other dogs, but stuped some meet up with their dogs and go walkies together,

Hes a belter Archie

I used to jag them before they were even feathered in the nest, but heard from a top vet that it is pointless and the yb should be at least 21 days but preferably older to get the full benefit.

RPRA ANNOUNCEMENT The following content has been agreed by members of the Confederation including RPRA, NEHU, SHU, WHU but excluding the IHU. As of 23rd March the UK Government brought in further restrictions to limit the spread and impact of the coronavirus. As a direct result pigeon racing will be suspended until at least 23rd May 2020. The RPRA and other Unions will continue to monitor the situation, and updates will be published when available. Furthermore, the following applies to all members: training of pigeons is classed as non-essential travel and is therefore strictly prohibited. Care of your birds We understand that many members will be very worried about how to care for their pigeons, especially if you keep them at a location away from home. Some key points to consider: Attending to the basic needs of your pigeons should be considered as ‘essential’, such travel is allowed – but you still need to comply with all of the latest government guidance. Further advice -be prepared: Planning ahead is essential, and you should have alternative arrangements ready in case you are unable to attend to your pigeons for any reason. The most important scenario to plan for is how your pigeons will be cared for if you become ill – ensure you have arrangements with your friends, family or fellow fanciers to be able to look after your pigeons in your absence. Q&A I am self-isolating, but I feel OK. Can I go to my pigeons as normal? If you develop any kind of symptoms such as a raised temperature or persistent cough, current government guidance is that you should self-isolate for a minimum of seven days. Any pigeons kept away from home will have to be looked after by someone else for your period of self-isolation. Try to ensure that you always have enough food to last a fortnight at the loft. I have been diagnosed with Covid-19. What should I do ? If you have been diagnosed with Covid-19, the government guidance is that you must not leave your house, unless you are being moved to a hospital. So, someone else will need to look after your pigeons until you have recovered. You must not be tempted to continue looking after your pigeons until after you have recovered. Delivery of One Loft birds: The latest Government restrictions highlighted that all non-essential travel should be avoided. Therefore entrants to the RPRA One Loft should be delivered using a courier. Ian Evans CEO

I don't see a problem racing. Most clubs can adapt to this crisis. This is just my idea of how I would run it but don't have a go as I am only trying to be positive about it. Please comment on how we can get through this. 1. Every member entering and leaving the club sanitizes his/her hands. All MUST also wear a mask . 2.Have the pigeons marked in slots of 5 members ie. if you have 20 members, mark the 5 oldest ones first, then half hour later, mark the next 5 oldest and eventually you are left with the youngest 5 to mark and load the transporter.( all members should stay at a safe distance from each other and as soon as pigeons are marked they should leave the premises)3. Handlers must all sanitize their hands after every basket of pigeons marked. 4. Common sense being applied and regular hand cleaning and it should be fine.5. Returning clocks could be left in the club hut without members hanging about. The clocks could be picked up the following week. Its about helping each other out and playing the game by sticking to the rules. Any other ideas?

Alan, I think the Belgians have no training or racing only until 3rd April so blown out of proportion again imo.
