  1. Well done to all who have timed. I would say little or no chance of any other birds north of the tay tonight now. Completely closed in and pissin rain for the last hour. Hope I`m wrong but good luck anyway
  2. John Duthie 18.00 brilliant
  3. An hour and a half to flee frae Edinburgh to Airdrie. Come on!!! If it had been 50th open maybe. Well done anyway
  4. Is that you away for a toss bigda. Nae wonder you cannae win
  5. Is that the one near Hastings? How many birds do you expect cos I know you have had a bad year for losses
  6. Yes well done the two Jims but got to say every section is hard to win. Sometimes feel section C does not get the recognition it deserves. There will be several high open positions at around 400 miles. And what about Graeme Scott (Basin View) 4 out of 4 home by about 7.00 pm just 25 miles short of the north section
  7. Well done the winners and especially the secretary for getting the result out so quickly
  8. You need to add about 6.5 miles to the old distances. Close between Tam Blair and W Hume I would say unless J Robertson flies a bit further. The one in Bonnyrigg no far away either and theres meant to be a couple in Dundee but thats top secret.
  9. Why are they a joke? Unless they got them up early yesterday there was never any chance of a lib before monday
  10. I assume the message on the website means update after 11 A.M.
  11. You can be sure whatever the decision there will be little thought given to any competitor north of the central belt. That goes for weather conditions and time of liberation. Theres a lot of heavy showers forecast in the north of england. They may as well wait till tomorrow now JMO
  12. Any news on how Kingdom or Caledonian Combine got on?
  13. They`ll no go tomorrow if they`ve no gone today Andy
  14. It was on libline. Cost me a fortune cos I had to listen to all the spiel about number of entries per section etc. Wont phone again
  15. The message on libline earlier was concern over the weather en-route including the strength of the wind.
  16. missed the boat. ah well monday now
  17. Looking from the outside I agree with Gareth it is outrageous to try to change an AGM decision half way through the season. From experience if you change your route it will take even experienced birds time to adjust and I`m not surprised at your losses this year although the weather has played a large part in it as the east side fanciers will testify. You should give it at least 3 years and see how it is going after that
  18. whoever it is i think they will have to be brave on saturday and get them up as early as possible and take their chances with the showers and a south west wind. if not could be another long wait
  19. Would like to know what the (ex)controllers actually wanted to do with the birds. If the rumours are correct they wanted the birds back at Leicester for Wednesday. Why not go the whole hog and bring them back to Otterburn. There were loads of guys saying they should have been up on Saturday as "everyone else was up and got a good race". Whats the (ex)controllers take on that. As far as I`m concerned the race wasnt a "disaster". Last years Messac was a disaster. Who controlled that race? If the convoy is to move from the designated racepoint surely the top officials have to be consulted
