dont play him until his contract expires. they dont need the money anyway
  2. Certainly not jealous. Just telling it as I see it from the outside. Good luck next year to you too
  3. I mean what I said. The other feds would get less problems without Lanarkshire. One look at this site during the racing season tells you that
  4. This is precisely one of the reasons it wont happen because one fed says our programme is set and you cant do anything about it. There has to be some "come and go" in a situation like this. The rest of you should go ahead without Lanarkshire. You`ll get a lot less grief
  5. late breds are better with some training in year of birth just short tosses on good days up to 10-15 miles. dont leave it too late in the day jmo
  6. I know a few guys who use Bamfords and they have no complaints. Some are changing from VL due to the price

3 shock results tonight. Rangers, Hearts and Ross County all out.
  8. Aberdeen 2 East Fife 3. c`mon the Fifers
  9. Scandalous. Anyone who keeps someone out because they cant beat them should be ashamed of themselves. You know who you are !!!
  10. Good luck. Hope you get a good race with such a small convoy at over 200 miles.
  11. The young bird race has no effect at all on federation birdages except North of Scotland as i think they were the only fed racing last weekend. If the west want a better chance in the ybn I think they need to bite the bullet and all go down the west route and also get some distance on their birds before the national at least 2 races around 150/170 miles. They are training their birds to come up the east and dog leg and then complain when they do the same at the national. Bang some heads together and form a combine to go to Stafford or similar the week before Leicester. As far as a split lib goes FORGET IT.
  12. What good would that do? If members dont want the races they wont support them but at the moment they obviously do.
  13. I agree the velocities were dropping as they come up country. North did well last year but the wind strengthened on the way up
  14. brilliant. not a chance tho
  15. surprised the north didnt do better with that wind. 28 Angus birds in open up to edzell 297 miles.
  16. well done to all and also the secretary and his assistants for getting the result out so quickly
  17. There is only a divide in Scotland because a minority wouldnt accept a majority vote. I would think that would be the last SNRPC young bird race. They had 18% of the SNFC entry and as far as I am aware 2 members made up nearly a quarter of the entry. Anyway off topic.
  18. Exactly. Why did the TWO Fife feds not liberate with Dundee/Angus at Wakefield. Another problem with so many feds is the area to cover. The UNC covers a fairly small area in comparison to the East side of Scotland. Another problem is at the early races most feds fill their transporters so they need them anyway and you will find most members prefer to be in control of their own destiny as much as possible. Fife needs to get shot of that massive transporter and bang some heads together but I know it wont happen for a few years yet
  19. Aberdeen may not be the only depot with pigeons in transit. I think a call should be made to the SHU to see if they can do anything and also the SSPCA as the persons responsible could be prosecuted if the pigeons are made to suffer.
  20. I can understand you feeling sore and hope the missing birds (from all areas) turn up but there are many races when the south race is finished and there is little chance of birds north of the central belt and especially in the north section on the day. Then you get a bad second day like Clermont this year when it rained most of the Saturday. You have to take the rough with the smooth in this game and when fanciers are timing half their entry within twenty minutes you can hardly call it a bad race. I think the snrpc took a chance yesterday and got away with it and the snfc took a chance today probably because of the forecast for the next two days and they also got away with it.
  21. post75
  22. Congratulations on delivering an excellent race
  23. 15 entered in section e. 1 reported home so far
  24. if the forecast is correct they wont be away tomorrow and as for feeding this is the SNFC no lanarkshire
  25. Why so early. SNRPC have libbed at 9.45
