Have patience. Lot of heavy showers up the east coast. Birds will be well split up. Dont think there will be that many over the forth tonight as darkness will beat them
The best doo on the day in the conditions won the last race and I would think the same will apply tomorrow or whenever they get up. Lanarkshire are there because their members voted for it and if the conditions are not in their favour then thats the perils of national racing. Your turn will come again (not yours tho bigda cos your feart to enter)
I agree with most of your comments. However I would guess 40% are 2 yo and 30% are older birds. Probably half the convoy (at least) are on some form of widowhood so that leaves approx 750 pigeons over 2 yo. Many of these as you say are destined for Ypres or Clermont. Yes there are many widowhood fliers send birds to the channel but there are just as many or more who dont. The bottom line is there are a limited number of channel pigeons in Scotland and that is the main reason why entries are decreasing
Got to disagree Gareth. There is no way you would get 1000 of the Eastbourne doos at Messac. I reckon about 30% of the entry will be yearlings. You would get some of them going back if the Gold Cup was three weeks after Eastbourne but that will never happen.
not sure how you can justify your statement. snrpc have, Reims, Fontenay (assume it is Tours equivalent) and Arras which is shorter than Aberdeen fly from Eastbourne. Is Saintes still in the programme?
I agree. the members keep voting for them every year. Many of the long distance specialists dont send their gold cup birds to the first inland race if their federation has an alternative race. Obviously a bad race has some bearing on the entries but the same could happen in a club race. The ultimate decision is with the individual fancier, if the weather doesnt look good keep them in the loft
as sure as night follows day when the national season starts someone with a bag of tatties on their shoulder starts girning about the snfc with no names to back up his claims. how many have you going to any national this weekend? have you timed on the day this season yet?
Great entertainment from both players. Judd Trump - what a talent. One complaint - why do they persist in interviewing players just after the match finishes. Cant believe Hazel Irvine asked John Higgins about the death of his father two minutes after he wins the world championship.
