  7. Was at sale today firstly a very nice pigeon club , but the birds were going for the opening bid £20 mostly and they were a class team of birds it must have been heart breaking for Martin to see your years of work going for penny's . All best to him for the future .

  10. Thanks del ,they are both of my young Alfie when paired to different hens and both late breds , thought both were hens but one is def a cock . Will be interesting to see the ybs .

  12. Do you think half brother to half sister is too close if not would ybs be better racers or breeders . Also g/daughter to g/father what would be the best for those ybs ie breeding or racing. I have followed a breeding pattern for 7/8 years mixing family's and weeding out those that don't conform but never went too close before so just interested in others thoughts . Colin

  15. I agree it may not suit every one but it never could . I am national minded but really it neither helps nor hinders my preparations . Hexham is not a good race point in my opinion as its down in a valley but I will be my own race controller . Good luck to all for forth coming season.

  20. I always put one in either side of nest box (widow style)and put extra front on so they can't get to each other but can pair up through the middle sect .

My oldest is 12 yr old vandenabelle cock I call the McLeod , he can hardly walk and is struggling to hold on to his top box now but I won't let anyone kick him out no matter what they have done ,in the early years he bred 5 separate 1st fed winners and loads of other good birds but I only take a couple out him now as I don't compete in club races ,if he had been owned by a better fancier he would be a super star . Can you tell he is my favorite lol
