  1. I m afraid I think You are correct but also lots are breeding birds that can't get home from short distances and won't send to long distance so not testing our birds but I fear the Percy and their supporters have us beat and no amount of talking will sort it , all web sites are scared to print anything detrimental to the peregrine so we can't talk about what we can do for ourselves to get rid of the problem . Very hard times ahead along with virus they have us beaten .

  7. Morning all ,weather glorious mind I am in Venice waiting on cruise ship, taxi got us to dock 4 hours early even the ship wasn't here lol
  8. Totally agree sprint racing is still a skill to get them at the front each week but it's follow my leader with the whole convoy heading in same direction , Channel racing is indeed a art and admire guys who can get them on the shift consistently that is my aim it also takes a hell of a lot of patience which most don't have , I think the breeding side takes a lot of trial and error before you get that rare pigeon that does it in his stride . Jmo
  9. I keep mine all year for one race Gold cup , I also have about 60 birds at start of season just to find one good enough for it and don't race my ybs so we all keep them for different reasons .

  20. Can I join in but I,m interested in the power company's ,my elec has shot up 70% this year they say we are using more but my partners daughter moved out and she had 3 showers every day washing machine was on constant as for our bloody central heating so how can we be using more electricity the 2 of us are at work , I think it's because we use less that they need to keep profits up they just up the rates also what are all those turbines doing when are we going to see our bills come down ! No chance . My sister when she was alive god rest her was on a committee about these turbines and the scientists told them then the people will be unlikely to see any decrease in charges due to very high maintenance . Our great sport is almost goosed but our great country is in even bigger sheete . Rant over , I enjoyed that lol
  21. I,m sure they will all do their best for the birds but this birds in a basket rule must be sorted 800 birds away and making them put 20 in basket , I know it's a rule but when is common sense going to come into this we are asking our birds to race from 500+ mls so should not have to fight to get near a drinker especially if there looks to be a possible hold over. Hope you all have a good race .
