  11. Great post Del, if anyhting it has got people thinking. 1 I believe YBS and Darkness YB are linked, maybe the extra stress of moulting while growing at such a young age has a lot to do with it. 2 BOP, I like the idea, but what is this repellant, does it put the BOP off as they attack? 3 Clashing, your right in with modern day computer technology I'm sure we could have a liberation nerve center that all uk organizations would have to go through coordinating all libs North and South( even for Old Birds), I would also say if we reduced the number of lib sites to a minimum and having more feds at the same lib sites it would be easier to manage, and joint libs after say 100 miles, for instance the whole of the west of Scotland could lib together at agreed race program after 100 miles? 4 this is a tough one as all these strains are already here.
  12. Really sorry to here this, thoughts to John and the family.
  13. Hi, We used to fly widowhood (roundabout) and when we set the birds up for a Fri basket for a Sat race all was well, but if the race was put back 24 hours for the weather at short notice, the birds "went over" and had a mediocre race at best, this is down to the fact we set our birds up to peak on the Saturday and come Sunday the edge was gone, so the feeding for one or two days in the basket will affect the performance, you must feed them different for the two day basketing, we have never raced the distance on this system so I don't have the correct formula for feeding, but I would say feed heavy from Mon - Thu giving peanuts every evening, wouldn't be far wrong. As for motivation, I wouldn't show the hens on a two day basketing the cocks will be too excited, show the bowls then basket the cocks, then move the hens into their boxes without the cocks and leave them for a while, this should do it, all the best.
  14. Cheers John. Thanks for the info, John.
  15. Hi John, Either G white was in on the second day and his velocity is wrong or he is in on the third day and his velocity is correct, this would mean we should be third, I have sent an email to the secretary, I no mistakes can happen, but this the second time this year for us. We are now still sitting on tender hooks waiting to see if she has a silver award.
