  1. Walter what is the problem with following rules?? If you think it is wrong go to the AGM and try to have it changed, the night before the race is no the time and this is no the place to get things changed. Best of luck for an early one and 100% returns on the shift
  2. Thats over 100 birds more than the entire birdage in the other race, from only one section of the SNFC too
  3. I got a text from Jim this morning telling me they HAD to be checked on day of timing in!! Obviously a wee mix up somewhere in the communications dept I don't know about anybody else but i canny get ma print out quick enough, for fear something goes wrong after timing in. Where clocks of any description are concerned there is always a possibility of catastrophe.
  4. Have you been in the club all day?? Thats twice you've posted that Who told you to take your clock next day John?
  5. Can you clear up the continuation of races on an ETS clock, then if we want your opinion on anything else we'll ask you
  6. jonl6280 is the clock setter for Lanarkshire fed, if he comes on later i will ask him to post the correct info about this It will be more or less what is already posted but he can answer queries from the queries who don't get it
  7. My point exactly
  8. I sent 2, ck & hen. Had 3 going but another hen i had in mind laid on Wed so i left it. Happy enough with the ones i've sent, hope am just as happy the morra
  9. As far as i know, you can continue a race with an ETS clock after the birds in it have been checked. I'm not a clock expert by any stretch of the imagination but i'm pretty sure this can be done.
  10. You too Stuart, text me WHEN you time in mate
  11. I Never train my latebreds, they are treated exactly like the others when training starts the following year. My best pigeons have all been latebreds and have all gone into the yearling Derby 250mls as yearlings, before stopping them until 2yr old. I have never seen the sense in training doos when they are the only ones for the BOPS to target in the sky as is the case after racing stops. omo
  12. The rule ONLY APPLIES to the Yb National, old bird nationals have different rules re clock check Don't ask me why i never made them!
  13. No Stuart, all day birds MUST be checked on day of race, otherwise it'll get disqualified.
  14. Best thing to do is get down to the station tomorrow night with your clock between 8 and 10, IF you are fortunate enough to get one in! That'll clear up any confusion and get you on the result sheet
  15. If the birds are still available can you post pics or tell us some details about the type they are.
  16. Cheers i'll see if they are on I see they are offline, i just pm'd Gary with my number
  17. Any body help me out with a phone number for Blaz (Gary Cairns)??
  18. Not that i like free Saturdays but i'm glad they are held over, no just for myself as the guys in the North would have had little chance today if the reported weather is accurate. Hope we all have a good race tomorrow, forecast is for ONLY 2% cloud cover so there will be little excuse for the ones who don't make it
  19. This is an excellent link for info on our game, new starters or experienced fanciers who already know it ALL will benefit from the info on it. There is a free bulletin/newsletter for updates by e-mail that for all the good it will do you, it won't do any harm joining up for it, i'm sure somewhere down the line it will have the very answer to my/your queries
  20. Haven't heard anything my self John, i didnae like the forecast and hope they keep them until tomorrow. omo
  21. It'll no be far off it Danny, there were plenty in the queue when i left early on, and the majority were still working!!
  22. Aye, i've got to say i am pleased enough with what is there, i just hope they survive next year and mature into good 2yro's. Well most of them anyway!! It would be too bad if i wasn't pleased
  23. You'll be fine with 40 in a section that size, so long as there are twice as many perches as pigeons!!
  24. Believe me there WILL be hard feelings!! Be certain you's can get on together for YEARS to come, or it will eventually ruin the friendship. It is human nature that you will disagree over some things and when that day comes i would be surprised if you weren't reminded of your lesser experience in the game. If i were you i would take the bull by the horns and set up on my own, your mate will still help you out and he will still be your mate 5/10 years down the line
