  1. Break your distance down into yards, then put your time into seconds, Divide the distance by the time and multiply by 60, Hey Presto
  2. There was a product on the go i used but haven't seen it lately, its called either Spill Dry/Oil Spill and looks like Kilpatricks Grit, still stuck to the sole of my shoes but the dookit looked great with it down, very Dry floor with that stuff I see a poor imitation on the go that is a Grey sponge kinda material, i wouldn't use it!!
  3. Best of luck Andrew hope your right up there amongst them Long time no see where you been?
  4. Seeing as your determined to try to sort her, Same as human beings, no less than 5 days and no more than 7.
  5. Excellent flying Derek, excellent. You are in the MINORITY though along with Aldo, your methods are working too, better than most Including ma self

  7. A mate of mine just had the season (yb) of his life, the man he trains with had a very good season too, they were training their young birds in MAY this year along with the old birds, up to about 40mls. They both had heavy losses early on but when the chaff was gone they hardly lost a bird in racing, my mate Aldo go 21/21 in the first Consett and 19/19 in the second one, both races were nothing short of a disaster yet he got all of his both times. You might have thought it was good fortune the first time but the second time confirms his methods were superior to most, including myself I handled his doos through a couple of the races and they were built like Tanks, not BIG doos though they are of medium cast, all were on the darkness and i am looking forward to next year to see how they perform as yearlings
  8. Are you going to the sale Alan?
  9. Oh you know how to tempt a man Blaz, a wee cuppa and a chocolate biscuit goes a long way with me
  10. Every cloud has a silver lining, you didnae need to listen to Danny for a week
  11. i would go for John Mc Neil's after the season he has had
  12. Didnae know you were going in TooshyBoy glad it went well and welcome back
  13. I put 47 ets rings on my birds the night before the first race, i have 19 left 3 of which i stopped after the 100 miles mark. I have a team of 25 natural young birds, about half of them are latebred, none of these will not go in the basket this year, so thats around 44 i have to go into the yearling stage with next year. However i have around 25 2yr olds and 3yr olds for the nationals next year so that will take some pressure off the yearlings in the longer races and this in turn i HOPE establishes me with a well experienced team for season 2012. So overall i'm content with what i have left from the season.
  14. Nice one Danny

  20. I didn't know this was contrary to a rule, can you tell me why this is the case??
  21. Tell me this, what good will this hen be if you are able to get her health back? The Truest saying in pigeon racing is GOOD DOOS ARE NEVER SICK!! Its difficult enough to win with birds who are robust and healthy with no health issues let alone one who has been doctored just to stay alive. You can't breed from it either, because chances are, it will breed the same weakness into its youngsters. jmo's
  22. It doesn't interest me where a meeting is held Danny, if asked for my personal opinion i would suggest the meetings be moved around the fed, out of fairness to those who have to travel to Every meeting just now.
  23. Holding meetings during the race season is a no goer for me Alan, i want to enjoy my racing start to finish and not be distracted by politics, this is just my opinion but moving a meeting date/time to accomodate some will innevitably upset others, it always does. Then the allegations of favouritism start flying about!!
