  1. If memory serves me correctly the only time of year the throat can be graded is after the moult and before pairing up. The theory is that the bird would need to have a high score in throat grading if it was to become a champion breeder/racer. This i suppose is possible but because they have a good throat does not faze the Falcons and the pylons are indiscriminate. What would be interesting is if those fanciers who have the good fortune to have a top performing bird were to grade them in December and post their HONEST findings on a Theory thread. Then we could glean some facts straight from the doos Mouth so to speak.
  2. The Late Jim Biss was the best racer since Eddie Newcombe moved abroad. Of the present day fanciers i would say George Macaloney, who after winning 1st Open in a national he turned his attention to sprint/mid distance racing and has dominated the Lanarkshire fed ALMOST every year since, proving he can prepare doos for any distance racing. jmo
  3. Only 1 man for the job, Jose Mourinho,
  4. I'll be down for the weekend too, but as yet not booked anywhere. I will watch this thread with interest to see where others are getting a good deal in a good Hotel, food has to be good for me as i don't drink. That Lyndene looks no bad so far
  5. Same old Same old Derek. its every body else's fault for the losses, take it on the chin and content yourself that your not alone! Well with your returns you might find You're alone!!
  6. I lost 7/45 from the first Consett and 5/12 from the second. I like to think i learned something from the fisrt one, so never sent my full team to the second. Percentage wise i was correct to do this. BUT.............. Answer me this. What if the race controller moved to Otterburn and we had a great race with excellent returns?? I bet you London to an Orange, there would be outrage at missing the opportunity of a good race from 100mls. There is just no pleasing the fancy as a whole, what the Minority need to get into their heads is that the Majority rule, and look forward to the day your ideas are in line with the Majority!! Shouting and bawling about the injustice of finding yourself in the Minority, or that your personal point of view is not supported, does you no service Whatsoever!!!! I content myself with the thought that if my doos are being liberated at the same time as everyone esle's, i've got as much chance as the next guy in the race of winning it, some people ought to adopt my outlook! because thats about as fair/safe as we can make the sport. Breakaway organisations only serve to weaken the fancy as a whole so i Urge memebers of every organisation to accept the wishes of the Majority, don't go developing a club/fed/national to compete against the established organisations, because you will simply be remembered for instigating the demise of our sport.

  22. Instead of continually posting what you think is right/wrong, post HOW YOU CAN SORT IT. Idea's are no worth your time posting if you don't make an effort in some way to achieve what you want. I don't mean posting what everybody else should do to sort it, post what YOU are gonna do as an individual to try and get in motion a chain of events that will consolidate the fanciers in Scotland, as this is clearly what the main thrust of this thread is stating we need to do.
