  3. High velocities in Yb racing usually means high Losses too. I timed at 10.50.50 and have 25/30.
  4. Well done to wee Owen, great to see his name at the top
  5. I have the opposite problem, mine won't take the Red Stone grit, i give them a mixture anyway whether they like it or not.

    Joke

Big guy was walking down past my house the other night with a Huge Pole on his shoulders. I said to him "are you a Pole Vaulter?? No he said " i am German but how did you know my name Vaws Vallter"
  7. That's a Coatbridge number. If i remember i will take a note and pass the info on when the Coatbridge stray officer comes on Sunday.

    Max

Both of these pictures were taken within one week of her last litter being weaned, she looks great all the time and that is why i chose her for Max. Don't know what type of food my mate feeds her but i think its what he is feeding it to, not what the feeding is.

    Max

She is a Collie Whippet cross Tam, don't know if there is anything else in her but she is a beauty with deadly speed, in an ideal world i will get a Bedlington coated pup from the litter. She is too high at the bavk end for him but we made a wee platform and it worked well, however when i went back tonight he didnae manage to cover her again. As long as she is receptive i will keep taking him back and see how things turn out. The owner of the female fancies he'll have done the job yesterday but i'd rather they coupled again.

    Max

Took Max and "introduced" him to this lurcher Female tonight. He duly obliged and i'll take him back in the morning for another go with her. I'm hoping to get a Female version of Max from the litter but with added speed.

Hi Rab. Most of my Doos are down, but everybody is in the same boat so i canny see sense in me coming on here bleating about it, as if it was more important that MY doos are lost than Anyone else's, sh..t happens and i just get on with it without depressing anyone else with ma worries. jmo. Absolutely anyone thinking of taking up racing Pigeons and had a wee gander on here before hand they would soon be looking for something else to pass their time, that is the disappointing aspect of all this, the negative stuff from my POV will kill the sport long before the afore mentioned reasons for bad races, all this jmo. ATVB John.

First race of the year for me on Saturday from Longtown. Sent 24 Natural Yb's, timed in within 3 mins of the winner and got 21/24. Had 19/24 at clock checking so i'm no complaining about it. To even SUGGEST that you are guaranteed a good race from ANY race point or from ANY direction is just ridiculous, imo. My biggest wish is that i read LESS & LESS about bad races here, there and everywhere and less messages on threads from the Know Nothing about pigeons brigade on how to sort all our problems overnight.
  19. No prob, but if you're struggling i live right close to it.
  20. Nice birds there, especially the Ch W/f. Yer garden is 10x tidier than mine too
  21. You can get them from the SHU office, £1.40 a whip i think.
  22. Had a Yb in a couple of weeks back for 1 night, the owner collected it, started training again and it was coming well from some stiff tosses. First race on Saturday and it was at my loft long before loads of fanciers had seen a doo.
  23. Well done indeed, very very tough race for the first one.
  24. Thanks Tiger and Derek, i'll ring the Forth & Clyde guy. cheers.
  25. Got a Cheq Pied SU 12 AV 3687, came in last night. Any takers?
