  1. It may be that i won't have time to post up the clubs who have strays today, it looks like a late pick up because of the race, but i will be at Newmains for 4pm with them regardless. A prompt arrival by all stray officers would be appreciated as i'm back shift too and only have a 30 min break, 4pm to 4.30pm.
  2. Thanks Mick, No so warm here either but some blue skies poking through now so maybe get a lib shortly.
  3. Cheers Brian, btw your 2 have done everything asked of them and are now put away for next year.
  4. Another champion fae Wishaw, we're no too bad at producing them around here, best of luck to the wee man in Florida Stuart, i'm sure he will do himself and you proud
  5. Big race today in the Lanarkshire Social Circle with the Breeder Buyer and the Exchange competitions on, best of luck to all those with Yb's left to participate. I still have the Jim Cullen B/B i bought and Gareth has my Exchange doo away so i have an interest in both competitions.
  6. Well for the whole of Lanarkshire there have been around 180 birds returned through the stray centre or returned via our own fanciers. Not a lot when you divide it with 400+ lofts.
  7. Had one reported on Sunday, the guy said it was in decent order and he would liberate it the next day the weather was good, if it didnae clear he will have it libbed near Edinburgh this Sunday. Never once did he mention sending for it, he just wanted to inform me of its whereabouts and Told me what he would do. The call was that quick i never even got his name but he's a top man whoever he is.
  8. If you report it online to the SHU you will get an automated reply in minutes telling you who's doo it is. The owner will get his letter sent out to him from the office, or online if he has an e-mail address.
  9. How does Annie know how good Viagra is
  10. None the less you took trouble to pass it on and posted the details
  11. That was the old Strathclyde Amalgamation race Wullie, 1997. Timed a Cheq H Su 97 L 19697 that day doing 992ypm your runner up was doing 956ypm and we were also third with a A, Deans Mealy Pd Ck Su 97 L 1965? doing 954ypm. The winner was the fastest bird into Scotland that day. She also went on to win 3rd W/Sec SNFC Hastings in 2001.
  12. Ye really need to stay oot that bar on a Sunday John.
  13. Mine so far are, Longtown 1 didnae go. Longtown 2, 22/24, last week 29/30 and this week 20/25. 79 sent 71 home. roughly 90% returns.
  14. Yes there have been unavoidable changes Frank, not at the behest of the officials i might add, but to me the rule is what needs changed, there is no provision in the rules to extend the program and to do so would be to "invent" something just to suit myself, cos like you i want a Uttoxeter race and have been looking forward to it more than most for personal reasons, but the rule is there as is and needs to be changed or amended which can only happen at the next AGM. I would not Intentionally break/bend/change a rule no matter my own feelings are on the matter. Please believe me Frank, if it was down to me we would go straight to Charnock Richards next week and finish at Uttoxeter, but my/our hands are tied. We wouldn't be starting at 60+ miles either, we were racing from Carlisle, 82mls to me, in 1982 as our first race, 30 years later we are 15 miles shorter, that speaks volumes of the Majority! Cheers John.
  15. Good on you Andy, keep up the good work and more will follow.
  16. On the contrary Frank, the vote for the starting date is taken first, the program of 6 races was voted in on consecutive weeks from the starting date. To do anything other than have 6 races from the starting date would be against the vote of the majority at the AGM. The rules are being followed TO THE LETTER and you should not expect anything else from the officials. Its the Rule that is letting the members down NOT the officials. atb John.
  17. The members at the AGM agreed starting dates and finishing dates for the 6 races they Voted to have. It stands to reason that if the program is put back a week we will lose the 6th race point. I READ it several times and the rules are not being broken Frank.
  18. Nae surprise there Derek with the S/W wind there are probably a lot more up there.
  19. Aye well done to Wullie, he was trying right enough Ps. stick the first 3 races up John.
  20. Probably breeds them himself
  21. Very best of luck to you with them mate.
  22. Well 1 of my missing 5 is in Bishop Auckland, the other side of the country fae Appleby
  23. What you have to remember is it was the MEMBERS who made this rule, it is imo quite clear what the remaining program will be. If for any reason we didnae get a race next week then the final race would be from INGLETON!!!! Not a prospect i even want to consider. atb
