    Carentan

The delegates voted to bring the birds home. The vote was 14 to bring home, 1 to sit until Thursday and 1 abstained so they are en route home just now. Ayrshire doos will be dropped off and the transporter will return our birds to the Central Marking stations where they left from.
  4. He who laughs last, lasts longest!!!!
  5. Well done to the fanciers and their birds, especially Wullie, Very well done to him
  6. Lanarkshire Fed. Longtown 67mls Longtown Appleby 99mls Ingleton 127mls ? Charnock Richards 165mls Uttoxeter 216mls
  7. I think its the North West combine they are with Ian. There aren't many into the combine tonight so little hope for SNFC members getting one on the shift, mind you there are always exceptions to everything so i hope someone does get a doo on the shift
  8. You over estimate them Tam, believe you me that all those who missed the result or had terrible returns would be SCREAMING about it, and at every opportunity they got too.
  9. No!! i was simply pointing out that the weather was so bad at the race point that a liberation was impossible, regardless of what the rest of the route was like. The situation wasn't dictated by forecasts it was by direct contact with the convoyer in Carentan and he advised that a liberation was impossible so Jim Hannah never had a decision to make regards liberating the birds.
  10. Am rooting for WINGS04, single entry away but its a good wan.
  11. Just to put some light on this subject, Jim Hannah was told that NO MATTER how good it was in England and Scotland the doos could not be liberated because its tipping it down at Carentan. Before anyone says we should have moved them, it wouldn't have made any difference because they could only have been moved on the same line of flight as Carentan, in other words staying West as was voted for by Members at the AGM. Like everyone else I'm frustrated by them not getting up but i don't want them flung up either. ATB to the Lanarkshire members that have supported the race, i hope we all have a good race with decent/good returns.
  12. I noticed the presenter on Sky Sports News said an Englishman had won the Doubles title at Wimbledon today, that's what makes Murray being British sound odd some how

Naw Steven no Ypres for me this year, handled my doos yesterday and i don't think they are fit enough. Had hoped to send 3 to Carentan with the Fed tonight but only 2 were right for it. Will get some work into those left and see how they are come the last SNFC race.
  14. My 1st rounders will be 16/18 weeks old my 2nd round about 12/14 weeks old. 3rd round Yb's will go straight to race 3 on our program at around 14weeks.

Never sent Steven, no timing in the Gold Cup race means no reason to send that distance so i'll have a go at the last national with some of what i've got left, no many to pick from though
  16. The advice given to me by fanciers FAR BETTER than me was"if you get a yearling Going, keep them going as you or it may never be in that form again" i heeded their advice many times to my benefit so for me Send him back. ATVB with him,
  17. Hope your day has gone just the way you would have liked it Archie, Many HAPPY Returns
