  6. Hello and welcome to Pigeon Basics, most countries have a governing organisation and if you can find details on how to contact them maybe they could tell you where the nearest club to you is. Or if you know any other fanciers in your area or neighbouring districts perhaps they could help you out. atb John.
  7. Ye already stated yer case Del, everyone knows it yer not alone either, but some guys jist want a day oot tae relax and enjoy different company and couldnae gee a monkey's aboot tickets, ma sel included. Chill oot
  8. It;ll be the ruination of him Sammy, no the Buchie HIGGIE !!
  9. Wan ay these days ye'll say soemthin positive Del, fs its only a wee cliub show no a matter ay life n death.
  10. Working AGAIN!! Will need to get something sorted out tae get time off so i can get through before they are finished.
  11. Quite right Whitty, each to their own. Personally i treat for nothing, my choice and my doos. If i'm not winning races its no because i didnae treat for this that and the other, its because i've made wrong decisions or haven't had the time to work the doos as much as they need to compete, almost exclusively its the latter. What i am Certain of is its NOT because i don't medicate them. jmo.
  12. 2 more than i got Andy, but wee Jim on the Mic was worth the entry fee itself
  13. Good shout Stuart, family and in particular the weans should always come first. I reckon by the time the wee yin hits 2nd year, it'll no be "cool" tae run aboot way her Da and ye'll get ditched withoot a thought atb
  14. God bless her, my condolences to you the family.
  15. Can anyone tell me who the best fancier/s is in the Ostend area of Belgium?? Only found out last night that my nephew is married to a girl who has family over there. No just any family, the guy is something of a Superstar over there due to a Basketball career and doesn't have to buy a drink anywhere in that area. So i imagine he might be held in the same esteem by the Pigeon Fanciers too.
  16. Full cloud cover here in Wishaw, no rain and despite the Easterly wind its not too cold. Had a wee touch of sun earlier too, that was nice and warm for the time of year.
  17. Thanks for your kind words Peter, it was a real pleasure getting to chat with you, Mary fair left a positive impression with my missus and ma wee Mam too, who were singing both your praises this morning.
  18. The wee black one is a ringer for Max when i got him. The fawn and white is a beauty and ma missus wants it, she couldn't handle it though if its nature is the same as Max'. Hard work and determination needed form the lucky owners to bring them into line but it is well worth the effort in the long run.
  19. Yes Jamie, i cannot say how disappointed i was with the food, or lack of it!!! and apologise to you and the others who were left without. I was at pains telling the club secretary that we NEEDED to get that right, she assured me that there would be plenty for all and there would be waste on top. I was catering for 100 and she was adamant that 80 would be sufficient so i took her word for it. It's a lesson learned and will not happen again. I went to drop my car off, (took 15mins) and when i got back the table was cleared. The ladies clearing the tables were throwing plate full's food out from some tables which was also disappointing, but as i say a lesson learned for the future. We hope to be able to have a Free for All night in future with bellies full. That apart, i thoroughly enjoyed the evening and wee Jim's inimitable performance on the mic was hilarious. The winners were given due recognition for their achievements, and the company were gratuitous in their compliments to the officials for putting on what was the first Dance in many many years. Onwards and Upwards for us now.
  20. Good morning all, have a good one.
