Aye but John isnae in Sec E just like all the fanciers around him. Look at the result closely John, you simply cannot make a case for a level playing field in the YBN I mean come on ??

Yes John ONE!!! MANY MANY years ago and if still in the east he would be winning today as well, experience is his strongest suit, he never had that 30 years ago. !
  3. Had a Mealy hen about 2007 that cast 2 on each wing the week of our Inland Open race and all advice was send her and gamble her. I done both but she slept out and never made the result, so be careful and be Certain the bird is Fully motivated to Race! home. Atvb whatever you decide to do.

Not for the first time either Jamie but that's no consolation to those of is who live and Work through here. Get plenty of advice to move location from better positioned fanciers but ye never hear anyone from the South East or East sections saying they will move here and race their doos, Strange Eh!!!

The very fact you draw comparisons between OB races and the YBN highlights you know nothing about the difference and even less about what this exchange of views is about, its the YBN that crucifies the Majority of fanciers teams in this and other less well positioned areas with Very Poor returns or losing ALL our entries. That doesn't happen in old bird nationals, certainly not on the same scale. Not all good fanciers will have the race they expect every time, but we get what we expect from the YBN and that is NO Open positions and Very Very poor returns year on year. Also, Despite what you read and hear we are not poor fanciers with poor stock as has been suggested by you and your like.

Hi John, Looking at it closer i notice only 2 birds from Sec D didn't get an Open position ( but still beat Sec E, G, A (bar 1 doo) & F, all other Open positions (bar Scott's outstanding doo) are taken up by Sec's B,C & D's birds. That tells us that these birds are experiencing a much different race than the birds in the other 4 sections.....Because when you look at the result from Derek's bird onwards, Sec's E,G,A & F are all mixed in together (in that order), though not surprisingly considering the conditions, the Sec F doos had it toughest in this particular race, but still !! all these section's winning birds are in the mix together, suggesting there may be some parity if they were released together, separately from the other 3 Sections. Remember this is as much, if not More, about getting more birds home than winning Open positions in the race, that imo can only be good for the doos and in the long term good for the sport, and reduced losses wouldn't do our image to outsiders any harm either.

Just checked out the result and a Split Lib would need to be Sec's A,E,F & G up together and Sec's B,C & D together, in that order, to give the Sec G birds the best opportunity to make it home on the shift. Simples.
  16. Second to none big man, Hat's off.
