Delboy Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 I was in my aviary tonight watching my cocks have their evening feed when I noticed a hole in the corner, between the loft and the slabs. I thought, I must shore that up, then one of my doos jumped and I saw the nose and face of a fox emerge through the hole, I swung my boot at it but caught the feeder as well. It disappeared and then appeared again, expletive remove the bassa was keen tae get at the birds. The time I got round to the back of the loft, it was away. Spent the next half hour settling the birds and shoring up the hole. Lucky I was there when it happened or it could've been a disaster. I wont sleep much tonight waiting on the c...
Kyleakin Lofts Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 Lucky you were there. Glad you spotted it in time. I was picking my son up from the station tonight and a fox, bold as brass was scavenging from the bus shelter, then walked down the street. This around 21.30, but still daylight. They are a scourge within the towns and the public are feeding them to encourage them into their gardens. I hope your plan pays off tonight.

Blue Chequer Pied Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 Christ Derek when I read the title of the thread I thought you had splashed out on a box of milk tray and a bottle of blue stratos 🤣🤣🤣🤣 On a serous note that must be an absolute nightmare mate. I hope you get it sorted before it does any damage. We have serious issues up here with pine martins that have devastated many a loft. There are idiots feeding these foxes that have no idea what they can do. Wasn't long ago one got in a house and had a go at a baby, thankfully it seemed more interested in eating its shitty nappy than doing serious damage but it is only a matter of time! Best of luck pal.

Delboy Posted May 31, 2017 Author Report Posted May 31, 2017 I was out in loft at 1 am mating up the birds to calm them down and get there heads right, no sign of bushy tail all night, maybe my size 12 boot aff its nose will put it off from returning, hopefully, but probably not.
Kyleakin Lofts Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 I heard you were singing whilst pairing the pigeons. Enough to put any predator off. :D
