JohnQuinn Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 Certainly wouldn't get a Ck in my loft. Other options are race it to the perch tae see how she goes or take more drastic action :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:
greenbar Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 Would race to the perch as john says,u never know.
peter dempsey Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 you could be lucky might just turn out to be a top racer for you ? but I would give it a go this racing season it wont be the first bird that turned up after 6 months there must be something in the bird to make it home intact at this time best fo luck whatever you deside to do

tiger Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 Bin 🚮 it will just do the same again, never had any luck with them
peter pandy Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 Had a few in my day and they all turned out to be extra special, perhaps they learn't a lesson or two on survival..

BANDIT Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 I got a yb red check c back that was missing nearly 4 months from its first race..............he will be given a chance as ive had a few that turned out ok after being missing a while.
Mike MacPherson Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 i like birds that have learned to fend for themselves, might not be for club racers but when comes to channel , sometimes ok, if not then they normally sort themselves outthe good ones return.
robertstait Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 Don't be too hasty. Remember once my dad had a hen back from a young bird race the following February, minus a toe and in a real state. Gave her a chance and she ended up flying Lerwick (590 miles) to South Wales 3 times on the open result as a 2, 3 and 4 year old. They aren't all a waste of time!
