Good old result this - 40 years ago this weekend.

One of the best Scottish National Winners ever, if not thee best.

History maker, record breaker - Walter Masson's '5 O'Clock Rock'

Thanks to Mossgiel for sending me the result, some great names on that one.

A fantastic performance by Walter and 5 O'Clock Rock. :emoticon-0137-clapping:

Another outstanding pigeon of that era, at 6th open - the marvelous " Moneymaker" of Bobby Carruthers.

Those were the days when everyone spoke about good pigeons Brian, never was there any mention of hawks :emoticon-0179-headbang: I hope them days can return.

The late John Ellis on there too.

Miss looking out for,and seeing his name on the results this year.

God Bless them all that raced in what must have been a special time in national racing,5000+ birds.

Yes there's a lot of fanciers missing John Ellis this year William, myself included. One of the very best.
