IMO the delegates have seen this as an Opportunity and took advantage of it...... & When the AGM comes around mind it's the DELEGATES who decided this NOT the Officials who Had to call this meeting due to Arras no being safe for birds or drivers.

On the upside a can now have a punt in 2 races with the same birds so I get a Silver lining out of it 🌤🌤

No john it was the club members that decided we had a meeting and i voted as instructed by my club.

SO this means that Lanarkshire pigeons are going to a fed distance race , passed at a race meeting(to go ourselves ) . In a curtain sided lorry with a fiberglass roof, old wicker baskets, And we have 2 state of the art transporters of our own ?,Also the race being controlled by another organization ? ,

I take this is about saving money ?,

For years we went in wicker baskets in old bone shaker lorries and had fantastic racing but agree about the drinkers .

The last 2/3 races for Lanarkshire have been bad races with many losses so it has nothing to do with the transport but as I say agree the drinkers are not suitable .

As many as it takes you always back up the national so you tell us

Well you would need capacity for your largest entry which this year would be around 4500. So either 2 at 2250 or 3 at 1500. I have no idea what that would cost though.

CHRIS CATTERALL PIGEON TRANSPORT WORKED FOR YEARS. LETS GET BACK TO THEM,

i think the reason for the bad race, was bad weather worse for the snfc. as most pigeons would work in land were they were no wind to help them fly

, were i think the snrpc pigeons would hold to the coast as they always race that line and would have a breeze from the sea. to help them a bit more than the snfc.

no wind no help for pigeons

I agree david although catterals don't do it now think its steve Teasdale .then get expert help for controllers and your most of the way there .

So we are no longer a federation of our own chosen, we are not able to finance our own programs, the verdict now reads let's have duplication racing the members that are nat minded are a minority in our fed but expect our federation at our cost ,to change route, for their flight of fancity the position is we try each year to get our own birds trained in our line of. Flight yet we a placed IN A race that is teaching our birds nothing we do not race extreme costal routes. Yet are allowing every bugger drag our bird along the coast from what was a federation race for which we support in fees, and in commitment. The nat men must be. Made aware the race program is for our benefit not the well beings of the national Ypres should have been the federration choice every year, as that is a memorial race for us, and if it many times we might at one time ,master it over the years. We are now known as the Lanarkshire wanderer's as far as getting into race sites ,that no due diligence done prior to our agm .

Good Andrew that's what should happen at every club. With the vote being 12-4 that means some delegates didn't even attend the meeting to vote :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang:

Scotland isnae big enough and doesn't have enough doos to go as separate entities here there and everywhere - time the people that are for th future of the sport were listened to, we complain about lack of fresh blood yet fresh ideas are shot down at every turn.

Pride needs swallowing before there's naebody left to race against

Lanarkshire would be a HUGE FORCE in SNFC racing if it competed in as part of the programme in fact it would make a big difference to the west and central parts of the country too

But why starve a federation ,to feed a national . federation racing is what our fed members want national racing is not in our remit, and if we vote for races it should be to our advantage, not the nationals. Should Lanarkshire nat minded want racing it should only be spoken about at the nationals AGM , We the Lanarkshire federation do not have national delegates, and we do not require a sympathetic ear from them, our remit is our remit .

Great to see the majority of the Lanarkshire fanciers seeing sense. This is a massive step in the right direction to get top national competition. We just need to get this message over to the other top fanciers in the country who seem to be cutting there noses of to spite there face.. Time for 1 National in Scotland I think . Time for those guys who left for whatever there reasons to unite with the SNFC .This sport is hard enough without divide let's bury those hatchets and move forward..
