Bought some Dac 10% Ronidazole at Blackpool, instructions are what I would call vague ?

"2 measures(=2 gm) for 20 pigeons or 1 measure =1 gm". That's a good start a lesson in maths ?

"2 measuring spoons ( =2 gm ) for 20 pigeons (10 Kg live - weight) etc.etc. ?"

Simple question? answers in English/Scottish or any other language that is understandable. :emoticon-0138-thinking: :emoticon-0138-thinking:

expletive remove.

How much to a litre of water or if you want for us old timers / pint ?

Thanks in anticipation for your replies.>>>>>>>> :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping:

This maybe isnt much better.

How to use: 1-2 grams per 10 kg body weight (= approx. 20 - 25 pigeons), 1 - 2 grams of product per liter of water. - Preventive: 1 or 2 consecutive days, repeated every two weeks. Treatment: 5-7 consecutive days

Maybe its talking about the difference in medication possibly in the summer and winter times dosage, i.e one measure in the summer, and 2 measures in the winter as the birds drink less

Now I'll put the cat amongst the pigeons (so to speak)

Look at the dosage on the Belgavet Ronidazole 10% - totally different (5g per litre)

That is incorrect - wrong instructions listed - they've listed the same instructions on the 5%

So the correct instruction would be 5g to 2 litres - as in Medizole (a level teaspoon - but make sure it's a big teaspoon!!)

Probably I'm the last person that should be posting on this one as I'm HOPELESS with numbers, especially when they mix up volumn (litres) and weight (grammes). That's why I pay a vet to work out these volumn / weight measures for me!

The original formula given at least was all weight: 1-2 gms per 10kg and is obviously for a large animal, and not a bird. That works out at 2 parts per 10000.

A pigeon fancier colleague informed me that 1 litre of water weighs 1 kilogram. So 2 gms weighs 2 ml. So the formula is 2gms (2 parts of 10000 gms) per 10 litres (10000 ml (mililitres) ?

AND er, over how many days?

For all of the powder treatments for pigeons I always mix the product 3g to 2 litres of water that has been boiled the previous night . When mixed and if I think it is to bitter will add another 1/2 liter. :)
