Last year we had our birds on roundabout.After the race and the next few days say until tuesday they didnae excercise well but wednesday thursday and friday morning flew like fk they were fed the same feed all week and i think that was our downfall re excercise and i was talking to a good flyer today and seen his feeding programme and was very impressed but i would like to hear other peoples feeding regime tae?

I feed my hens in troughs as they are on perches but the cocks individually..................cocks ALWAYS beat hens in my loft up to the water races

I dont know if this is relevant but some fowk are feeding protein after race then carbs Tues onwards ,protein helps restore muscle and ids recovery :unsure: :unsure:

Think u will have to say what you do ,IMHO having raced Saturday think it depends how long they see their mates as to exercise the next day as , when I flew it a few years back I let the birds together for an hour on return , Sunday well they didn't want to fly they just wanted some loving Monday the same then after they realised they wurny getting in to their cocks they flew again ,
