ALF Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 The easibed deep litter in the old bird loft has been down from this time last year and is a bit dusty now but would you remove it all or just some of it and add a couple of bales of new stuff to it? Cheers Alan
Kojak Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Stopped using easibed and switched to loft granules that stops cocci from spreading, had it for three years now no problem,i bought a riddle from aldi every so often i just lift the heavy stuff give it a riddle then put the waste in the bin, birds love it,very popular in our club.
andy Burgess Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 like you ALF i like to move it out once a year . i remove all of it , it gives a chance to inspect the loft floor .

Cheers AlanPigeon $hit and only pigeon $hit with discarded pigeon feathers is deep litter. .Anything else is basically a large pigeon nest. .Only enclosed lofts can achieve this environment

walterboswell59 Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 mines is changed a month before racing every year alan i spray the floor with bleach and put the new bale on top by changing it each year you help keep the dust down as it breaks up with time and use but both ways work m8
cemetary Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 Change it to loft granules mate, not dusty at all when they can be down for some months.
W.D. Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 take it all out clean floor then creosote floor and put new easibed on top of creosote Would the new type of Creosote work just as well or will it have to be the original stuff?
